Being born in the 90’s, I can easily count at least 15 girls named [name_f]Emily[/name_f] that I know/knew. While that would usually deter me from a name, I still find it so endearing. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is lovely but I find it very flimsy, while [name_f]Emily[/name_f] seems more grounded and versatile to me. Is it boring though?
Coming up with a combo is difficult for me, because I like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] with a shorter middle name but [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] seem really dull, but [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] seem over the top/long? What do you think? What would you pair [name_f]Emily[/name_f] with?
I don’t think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is boring at all - it’s my best friend’s name though, so I might be a bit biased. I think it’s lovely, and it’s one of mine/S/O’s favourites if we ever have a daughter.
I totally get what you mean about a longer MN feeling [name_m]OTT[/name_m] with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] - [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is already three syllables, so a 1-2 syllable name works best in my opinion
We have [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] as a combo on our list, but [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] works really nicely too, though I’m not sure if it’s your style?
No, I personally don’t really like it, but’s not boring! I know someone called [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] which I always thought was lovely. I also know someone called [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
I don’t think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is boring at all it’s one of our favorite names for a girl As far as middle names, I like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (although I can see how this one might not be a great one to use), [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], and [name_f]Michelle[/name_f].
I like it! It is charming and pretty. Definitely not boring
What about [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]? It seems like the perfect compromise between [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. I also love [name_u]Haley[/name_u]'s suggestions of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] & [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]. Other ideas ~
I really do like [name_f]Emily[/name_f], but thought I would toss out some alternatives for you to consider, as well ~
