Is Ennaly weird?

I’m thinking on making this my baby girls name , what are you’re thoughts ??

Yes, like Annely (which is the version I know), it made me think of “anally” and I think others would also make that connection - especially kids. (EDIT: sorry if came across abruptly, that was my immediate association with the name.)

I have never heard this name before!
It doesn’t jump out as overly attractive as a name to me, but if you like it then go for it.

It reminds me of the word “anomaly”. I’m assuming it would be pronounced “uh-NAW-lee”? Or maybe “en-nuh-lee”? Like “[name_f]Emily[/name_f]” but with an “N”? But, either way, it’s weird.

I’ve never encountered it before so yes I find it strange… not unattractive really. But I think people will often struggle to remember it and she’ll often be asked where her name came from.

Unfortunately after having worked in the public school system for a number of years this was my first thought as well. And kids can be mean.

However I really like just ‘[name_f]Enna[/name_f]’

Yes, it is weird. I don’t really see any benefit to this name, I agree with others that it sounds like anomaly, annally, and on a less tragic note, might be often just misheard as [name_f]Emily[/name_f] anyway.

[name_f]Enna[/name_f] on its own is a cute name, and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is still a pretty option. If you’re looking for something more unique, [name_f]Endellion[/name_f] is a name that is tossed around on the forums sometimes. Or [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] is similar in sound to [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but a little more unusual.

I hate it. It just looks kinda not right to me. But if you like it go for it. I like Naly or Nalee way better.

Personally, I think [name_f]Enna[/name_f] would be a fine name by itself! Distinctive, short and sweet. Ennaly just doesn’t really work for me? I agree that it would likely be mistaken for [name_f]Emily[/name_f], and it would be hard going through school, constantly having to correct people.

[name_f]Endellion[/name_f] or [name_f]Enora[/name_f] could both be shortened to [name_f]Enna[/name_f]? I’d still say it works solo, but if you prefer it as a nickname, I hope those options work too!

The look of it is not very attractive to me. Like others have said, it reminds me of words like anally or anomaly.

I quite like it actually. I’m saying it like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but with an N - is that right?

I prefer Hanneli or Hannelly. Unfortunately I think Ennalie is too easily twisted into a certain word, as PPs have mentioned.

I find it to be an unattractive hybrid of so much.
