Is Felix a classic?

Is [name_m]Felix[/name_m] considered a classic name? Really considering this one. I see it pretty frequently on nameberry and I know one person with a son [name_m]Felix[/name_m] but I don’t think it’s trendy or anything. Maybe just on the upswing? Also, I got a pretty negative reaction from my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] on it. (She was horrified we were considering it). She kept referring to [name_m]Felix[/name_m] the cat. What do you think of the name?

Our girls are [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] & [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] are classics too…
Looking for a boy name we love which is harder!

I do think [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is a classic. It’s also a favorite of mine. It’s so handsome!

I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m]! Your other children’s names are lovely, and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] would go great with them!

I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m]! It’s so sweet and fun. And I don’t understand why people fixate on the [name_m]Felix[/name_m] the [name_f]Cat[/name_f] association. Who cares if he shares a name with a cartoon cat? 1st off its an old association so his peers won’t even know who that is. And 2nd it’s not as though [name_m]Felix[/name_m] the [name_f]Cat[/name_f] was an offensive show.
I consider it more vintage than classic. Classics I feel like were popular for many generations: [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], etc. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] fell out of fashion and is now back in. I consider your girl’s names vintage as well. I love them all.

I adore [name_m]Felix[/name_m], it’s such a lovely name. I think it’s a classic, but it’s definitely not overused.

I’d say it was fairly classic - or perhaps vintage? I’ve seen it appear in lots of classic literature alongside other classic names and it’s been in use for a long time without being overly popular. It gives me a similar feel to [name_f]Stella[/name_f] actually.
