Berries i was wondering if the name [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] was too similar my daughters name [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]?
Not just how they are pronounced but with the ie ending? To make it even more difficult is the fact my name also ends with the tie :(.
I love [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] but there are so many letters in the alphabet and millions of lovely names that end in a different sound that could be used that I am torn!
It’s absolutely fine? In languages in Italian 80% feminine names end in “a” —*as long as they don’t rhyme ([name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_u]Mattie[/name_u]), it’s perfectly normal for sibling names to end in the same sound.
No, they aren’t too similar! In fact, I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] would make for adorable sibling names! They both have that sweet vintage nickname feel while being sufficiently distinctive.
I find them a bit too cutesy together for my taste although they are both lovely names individual. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] & [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] sound adorable together, not too similar at all, but alike enough that they sound like they come from the same sort of region/family/dialect. The ie at the end doesn’t take away from the uniqueness of each name. They’re both lovely, and even more lovely together! If you’re worried, maybe try [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and have [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] as a nn?
