Is it a good name for a baby girl?

What do you think of the name [name_f]Aylin[/name_f]? Is it considered an old girl name in your country? And how do you pronounce it ? Aye-lin or eye-lin?

I love it! I think it’s a sweet name for a baby girl. I want to say Aye-lin, but that could be wrong. Apparently the name is Turkish, so maybe @ethelmary could help - I don’t know if it’s actually common there though, I’ve never heard of it before now.

Thanks for mentioning, [name_f]Eileithyia[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Aylin[/name_f]! It’s pronounced eye-lynn. It’s a very modern name here, slightly dated because it became very trendy in 2000s.

I’d instinctively pronounce it aye-lin. It’s quite nice

I’m a fan of [name_f]Aylin[/name_f]! I love the meaning  I would pronounce it aye-lin

I say it the same as [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] (eye-leen). I was under the impression that that was how it was said but I could be wrong. I have an Aunt [name_f]Aylin[/name_f] so it feels a little older to me, grouped with [name_f]Aileen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eileen[/name_f], but still pretty!

If I read [name_f]Aylin[/name_f], I’d assume “EYE-lin”. It’s really pretty, and doesn’t seem old to me, since I’ve never met or heard of anyone with the name.

I like it! I would also say EYE-lin.

I would say ay-lynn. I like it

I’ve never come across it before. I had assumed it was something new or made up? Someone has suggested it comes from Turkish language, in which case I’m not sure how to pronounce it.
