I even feel embarrassed asking this question, but when we think of honoring names, is it wrong for a mother to consider having her own name (at least middle name) reflected in the name of her child? I am not thinking [name_m]Jr[/name_m] type situations here, but more variants of a first name or middle name?
Specifically my mn is [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. Is it wrong to consider [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] for a mn for a son? Or some variation of [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], but not actually using [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], for a daughter?
And connected to this. If you do honor your own name through a child, how do any other siblings feel if you did not do the same to them?
Am I over thinking this?
