Not at all! I think [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] is very elegant, and it’s definitely a favorite of mine as far as gemstone names go. [name_f]My[/name_f] guess is a lot of people haven’t ever heard it used as a name; that’s why they find it “unattractive”. It feels like a fresh alternative to both [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], which are so popular.
It sounds quite pretty to me.

Maybe I’m an outlier here, but I think [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] would make a really nice boy’s middle name.

Garnet is a bit like [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] sound wise

I think its okay. I would give a very flow middle name to balance as it sounds quite hard. maybe [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f] or [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] [name_f]Angeline[/name_f]
