[name_f]Do[/name_f] y’all think the name [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] on a girl is to boyish?
I think it can work on a certain type of girl. But I’m just not a fan of the name. I prefer [name_u]Palmer[/name_u].
I do think it is a bit too boyish for most girls to enjoy wearing. It’s very established for males and an “expected” boy’s name.
I love [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] on a boy, not a girl.
I am just not a fan of this name, sorry! Between the sound rhyming with pooper and the meaning of barrel maker, I just think there are so many other options that have nicer meanings or sounds… For people of all genders!
It’s being a masculine name is not the reason I’d rule it out, though! But for what it is worth if the attraction is that boys names come across as strong or cool, my counter is that I like to think we can find enough strong feminine names for our girls without needing to rely on names that have traditionally been masculine to give our girls a power vibe.
I know the sweetest little [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] and she wears it well. She’s 4 and just so cute ! Her and her mom do yoga and I cannot get over them !
I think it’s too masculine for a girl and better suited
for a boy. I also know quite a few people who have called their dogs [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], so it puts me off a girls name.
I mean boys names on girls have been pretty on trend especially the old occupation names. It’s not like the name is [name_u]Boris[/name_u] or [name_m]Gunther[/name_m] or something off the wall like that.
I think it could work
I’ve seen people (especially Americans) using so many kinds of boy names on girls that [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] wouldn’t surprise me.
I love it on both boys and girls
i think cooper is super nice, and while i feel cooper definitely leans masculine, it wouldn’t be surprising on a girl!
I don’t think it’s too boyish. It’s really cute I would love to meet a girl named cooper.
It’s very cute but where I’m from, i think it would be seen as a bit out there.
Yes, very much so!
[name_m]Way[/name_m] too masculine.
I think it can work in a girl!
It does sound very masculine, and is a very established boy’s name. Many girls might not enjoy that. However, times are changing, so in my opinion, it’s definitely in the realm of possibility.
