I have had my heart set on [name]Sunday[/name] for a girl. But lately I have been getting nervous. My name is plain and I am set on naming my children unique names. But will she be embarrassed by her name? I think it is cool and common enough not to seem too out there. What do you think?
I think [name]Sunday[/name] would be fine, although people may not be used to it there’s nothing wrong with it when you think about all the people with month and season names.
However, seeing [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charles[/name] as your top choice slightly concerns me just because [name]Sunday[/name] is already out there and could be a boy or a girl. If you are really considered about [name]Sunday[/name] I’d consider giving her a feminine middle name so at least if she isn’t happy with [name]Sunday[/name] she could be known be her middle name.
I think it could definitely work, though as pp said, you may want to go with something slightly more feminine/familiar in the middle spot. It’s not that I see anybody being confused about whether [name]Sunday[/name] is a girl’s name - it doesn’t sound masculine or even unisex to me - but [name]Charles[/name] is kind of confusing. Is [name]Charles[/name] a family-honoring name? Could [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] be a possibility?. I really don’t think [name]Sunday[/name] is too weird to work - I mean [name]Tuesday[/name] is a name, right?
I think that [name]Sunday[/name] can definitely work for either a boy or a girl; it’s a commonly used word and yet quite uncommon for a given name. However, I agree with the pp that [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charles[/name] sounds like a boy to me, not a girl. I love the other [name]Sunday[/name] combo in your signature: [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kate[/name] is gorgeous!
Good luck!
[name]Danni[/name]
I think [name]Sunday[/name] is less out-there than any other day of the week TBH. And she can go by [name]Sunny[/name]. I like [name]Sunday[/name] and [name]Sunny[/name].
I really like [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
I think [name]Sunday[/name] is a nice name. I do agree that the middle name should be feminine though. [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kate[/name] is beautiful in your signature.
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Sunday[/name]. I’d never heard it used before [name]Nicole[/name] Kidman gave birth to [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Rose[/name], and I just fell in love with it then…its so beautiful. I don’t think its too weird at all.
I’ve always liked [name]Sunday[/name] as a girls name, but like pp have said, it is a word name and therefore fair game to either gender. [name]Charles[/name] would be way confusing, I think. Another vote for [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
Yes. It’s a weird celebrity name.
I don’t think it is bad. I like [name]Wednesday[/name], but would probably only use it as a mn. It could take some people back, and some may assume that she was born on a [name]Sunday[/name]. Anyway, I like it and think that if you like it you should go with it.
I do have to say that I would go with [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] instead of [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Charles[/name]. [name]Charlotte[/name] may be getting more popular, but it is cute as a mn and since [name]Sunday[/name] is so unique [name]Charlotte[/name] may balance that out.
[name]Sunday[/name] to me is just okay. The combo with [name]Charles[/name] is not great though. At least in my opinion that is.
It is fine just don’t use the middle [name]Rose[/name] as heaps of people in Aus laughed at [name]Nicole[/name] Kidman when she used that combo
