Is it useable?

I recently found [name_f]Odelette[/name_f] while searching through nameberry. I love it, but could it work in the real world?

I prefer [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. TBH, I would save it for a GP. :pensive:

I think it’s pretty! It has lots of great nickname potential (my favorites being [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], and [name_f]Etta[/name_f]), which make it useable!

It reminds me quite a bit of omelette… There are worse associations out there :joy:

It’s a bit “out there” (not a bad thing) and admittedly is not my personal style or taste, but I don’t think it’s unusable, especially with a good nickname option or two and/or a simple middle to balance it out. I do prefer [name_f]Odette[/name_f] or [name_f]Odelia[/name_f], I think, but this one’s still intriguing to me and could grow on me over time as many names have before it.

Yes! It’s gorgeous!

Edited to say: I totally misread this name as [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is much prettier in my opinion. [name_f]Odelette[/name_f] makes me say Odd and makes me think omelet.

it’s lovely, and I do think it could work! the only problem I see is the omelette connection, but I don’t think that’s too awful an association to have with your name.

It might get mistaken to [name_f]Odette[/name_f] occasionally, but it works

I prefer [name_f]Odette[/name_f] but [name_f]Odelette[/name_f] is cute and sparky
