I have a three year old tortoiseshell cat named [name_f]Ember[/name_f], whom I adopted in [name_f]September[/name_f] 2020. She is sweet but sassy. Is it weird to give a cat a middle name? I was thinking:
[name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
It’s absolutely normal Both are lovely
Both names are so lovely!!
I think it’s perfectly fine. [name_f]My[/name_f] dog is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and she has a middle name, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I think sky’s the limit when it comes to pet names! [name_f]My[/name_f] cat’s middle name is Trinket
Go for it, im a big fan of going all out for pet names. I like the flow of [name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] a little better but really like the vibes of [name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f].
Not weird at all! I have a [name_f]Piper[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]! [name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] is gorgeous!!!
Not at all. [name_f]My[/name_f] cat’s name was [name_m]Octavius[/name_m] Frightful. Lol
[name_f]My[/name_f] cat is [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_m]Equinox[/name_m] technically, but we never use the [name_m]Equinox[/name_m]. I think middle names for pets are fun!
Our puppies name is [name_f]Coco[/name_f] Penelope…so no I dont think its weird
Not at all. I had a dog growing up named [name_f]Jezabel[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], and I currently have 2 cats named Tankimus Ipanema Dingus, and [name_m]Ichabod[/name_m] Kobwebz Pantera.
I don’t think it’s weird - I’ve given some of my guinea pigs middle names plus, it’s fun and no one can stop you
[name_f]Ember[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] is lovely
Not at all! [name_f]My[/name_f] cats have 5 names each because… who’s really going to know I want to customize them on a blanket or portrait or something fun, but otherwise, we only announce 1 name at the vet ofc
its not strange at all!
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names by the way!
Unofficially my cat’s name is [name_m]Rudolph[/name_m] O’Malley, because we all loved [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] O’Malley from the Aristocats and wanted to include it. I don’t think it’s weird, I’d say pet names are an opportunity to go wild!
Most of my pets have middle names!
Dogs:
[name_m]Sammy[/name_m] [name_m]Jameson[/name_m] (AKA [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Samwise[/name_m], Sameson, [name_m]Sammy[/name_m] Whammy)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] (I wanted [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Bogart[/name_m], but hubby insisted he looked like a [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. He often gets called [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Dirt or [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Potato as well. lol Oh and Jack-a-Whack.)
[name_f]Suki[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] (AKA [name_f]Suki[/name_f] Pookie)
[name_f]Nakita[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (AKA Kita, Kiter, Kiter Peter)
Cats:
Smudge Purrsephone (AKA Smudgery, Smudgy, Booger Baby)
[name_f]Sage[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (Sagey, Princess)
We also have a tortoise named Oogway and a hog named [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and lots of chickens, but they don’t all have names. Mainly just the roosters. There’s Feathers, [name_m]Stanley[/name_m] and Hei Hei. A couple of the hens are [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Darlene[/name_f], and [name_f]Shadow[/name_f]. None of them have middles though.
