Is it weird to use 2 times a month name?

heyy i really need your opinion.
I have 3 dauthers:
[name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Me and my husband both really love the name [name_f]April[/name_f]:heart_eyes: but we are not sure because its maybe a little weird… what do you think?

I don’t think it’s weird! I think using two in the same combo (for example first name [name_u]June[/name_u] with the middle name [name_f]April[/name_f]) would be too much, but as sisters it’s okay. I think [name_f]April[/name_f] works really well with your daughters’ names!

I don’t see anything wrong with using two month names. Honestly, [name_u]June[/name_u] seems like a name all in itself. I don’t automatically think of the month. [name_f]April[/name_f] is harder since that’s my birth month but it’s still such a normalized name that it again doesn’t ring “Month” to me.

I think they’re fine since you have 2 other daughters, and (as I understand) [name_u]June[/name_u] won’t be the closest to [name_f]April[/name_f] in age.

I think it’s fine. [name_f]April[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] have long histories as names of people not just as month names. If you had used [name_u]January[/name_u] and [name_u]December[/name_u], it would have been different.

While it might be a little weird, I see [name_u]June[/name_u] as a name before a month. If they were twins named [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]April[/name_f], it might be a little too much but sisters should be fine

Firstly I love your children’s names!

So I’m going against the rest of the berries and saying that I do think it’s odd. I just think [name_f]April[/name_f] & [name_u]June[/name_u] despite having strong history of being used as names and having two other siblings involved which aren’t month related it’s a bit odd. I just think they are strongly associated with being a months. [name_f]April[/name_f] is gorgeous but I would potentially look at another choice maybe [name_f]April[/name_f] could work as a middle name.

Both are totally naturalised as names so if it’s your number 1, I say go for it.

I think [name_f]April[/name_f] works fine. Nothing wrong with liking two month names. Many people use more than one word name or 'en ending name or place name, etc.

I don’t think it’s weird! [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]April[/name_f] feel like classics to me. Something like [name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_u]October[/name_u] might stand out but those are fine!

I love [name_f]April[/name_f]! I don’t think it’s weird at all to have both an [name_f]April[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u]! Also I love your daughters names!

I totally agree with this! If they were twins, or if you only had two kids and they were called [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]April[/name_f], then people might raise an eyebrow.

But honestly, if someone said to me ‘oh my daughters are [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]April[/name_f]’ , I don’t even think I’d notice that there were two month names! Go for it darling!

If they were really distinct, rare month names, I would think it’s a bit odd with your non-month names. Like if it was [name_u]January[/name_u] and [name_u]September[/name_u].

But [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]April[/name_f] are more well-known, so I think [name_f]April[/name_f] is a great name to use for your sibset!!

Yeah I have to agree with @tori101 and @Greyblue. It’s not the worst combination or anything but it does seem a little heavy on the month theme, which is too bad because [name_f]April[/name_f] is a very pretty name. However, if you really like it anyway you should go for it! A lot of people might not ever notice when you introduce them as siblings
