So I have been looking for a good pairing [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] lately and I like how [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] sounds but both names are biblical and im not religious so is it too much ir am i being paranoid? Thanks!
I don’t think it is exactly too much, but I do think that [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] does give it a particularly religious vibe. Maybe [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u], or [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_m]Elam[/name_m] instead?
Other names somewhat similar to [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] that aren’t overly recognized as biblical names anymore are [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Andrew[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. I think all would sound good with [name_u]Jesse[/name_u]. Good luck
It does not sound too religious to me. Both names are quite popular.
Both names give a strong wild west vibe to me, so I get an image of an old-timey outlaw more than a religious figure.
Thank you for the feedback and popularity isn’t an issue for me because both names aren’t popular where i live, I know of 1 [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] and 2 Elijahs.
I think [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is a very handsome choice!
I often forget that [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] is a biblical name. It just makes me think of the [name_m]Wild[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u] and Cowboys! [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] I do see more strong religious ties, but paired with [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] I see more cowboy than bible.
I think [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is very handsome.
No, I was trying to say that both names are popular enought not to feel too Biblical/religious.
Okay thank you.
I think it’s a great combo!
And as others have said, they’re both popular enough to not be considered ‘too religious’
