So as you can probably see in my signature, [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is one of my favourite combos and if I had a baby tomorrow that’s what he’d probably be called but I cant help think that it’s really feminine. I can say that, yes, I did copy this name from an actor but that’s because as soon as I heard his name, I was like wow! I mean I have loved [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] since the first Pitch Perfect movie. What are your guys thoughts? Is [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] too feminine?
Thanks!
It’s not exactly feminine but very unisex.
I know 2 [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]'s and they are all extremely masculine, so for me it’s a masculine combo. I haven’t met a female [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] so yeah, a definite boy name with the possibilites of female. I don’t think it’s feminine.
I know that strictly they are unisex names, however they do feel feminine to me.
To echo previous posters, it’s very neutral, so I imagine it could swing either way. In my mind though, it seems more masculine (possibly because I prefer [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] on a boy to begin with).
It strikes me as being pretty unisex and not especially feminine. Not that I think it would be an issue if it was. [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] is a great name.
It strikes me as unisex. Nothing wrong with that. I do prefer [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] on a boy.
It is a combo that could go either way, but I’d probably assume boy with that spelling of [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] (now if it was [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] then I’d assume girl). If you like it I think the combo is fine for a boy.
I have a [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] his name! No feminine at all.
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] has a cowboy vibe, so to me it’s all boy.
However, spelt [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] I’d assume it was a girl.
I agree, [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] is all boy to me, while [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] is feminine.
I absolutely love [name_u]Jesse[/name_u]! One of my favourites, though sadly DH doesn’t agree. I don’t love [name_u]Lee[/name_u] but the combo flows well and sounds masculine enough to me.
Although [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is unisex, it leans towards masculine to me. If it were say [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] or [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] than I would definitely say feminine.
I think it’s perfectly masculine
I don’t think it’s to feminine at all! my sisters name is [name_m]Haidyn[/name_m] [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] which are both pretty masculine names but my mom changed up the spelling to make it more feminine. Not sure how you would do that with [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u], but i don’t think spelling matters for this one. I love [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] for a boy!
Thank you everyone!
I agree [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is a great name. It is unisex, but leans slightly masculine for me, mainly because of the spelling. [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]/[name_u]Lee[/name_u] would be more feminine leaning for me… [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is not too feminine imo!
