I really like the name [name]Kit[/name] but do you think that it’s substantial enough to be used as a first name? Also, what are some middle name suggestions that flow well with the name [name]Kit[/name]?
I prefer it as a nickname, but I think it could be a cute first name. MN suggestions: [name]Kit[/name] [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Julia[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Annalie[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Christiana[/name], [name]Kit[/name] [name]Nicole[/name]
Personally, I don’t think it has enough substance to be a first name.
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is a nice idea though.
I love [name]Kit[/name]. I’ve been strongly considering it as a middle name, to honor my mother [name]Kathy[/name]. I think [name]Kit[/name], since it’s short and a bit tomboyish, should be balanced out by a more feminissima middle, such as:
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Angeline[/name]
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Gabriella[/name]
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Renata[/name]
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
No I don’t think so at all. It’s definitely a nickname in my opinion.
I think [name]Kit[/name] could be a modern sounding choice as a first name, but one wonders if the girl will grow up wondering why she wasn’t given a “full” name.
[name]Kit[/name] could be short for [name]Cytherea[/name] (First syllable is pronounced KITH). It also has the lovely association of being the birthplace of the goddess [name]Venus[/name]!
[name]Kit[/name] is an adorable nickname, by the way.
I have a [name]Kit[/name] in my family, it’s short for [name]Katherine[/name] in this case. Her mother’s name was [name]Katherine[/name] and went by [name]Kay[/name], and her mother was named [name]Katherine[/name]. When [name]Kit[/name] had kids, she named them [name]Kurt[/name] and [name]Beth[/name] because she’d always gone by [name]Kit[/name] and HATED having a longer fn that she never, ever used. She figured she’d just give her kids short names and spare them any hassle.
I think [name]Kit[/name] works fine as a given name, but I do like it as a nickname, too. I think most people named [name]Kit[/name] are asked, “What is that short for?”

I only really like [name]Kit[/name] as a nickname for other names (like [name]Christopher[/name], [name]Christine[/name], [name]Catherine[/name]… or [name]Kitana[/name] which is a girl I know) but I suppose it could work as a given name like [name]Fox[/name] and other names getting used nowadays. I sort of like [name]Cytherea[/name] (kith-uh-ray-uh in Greek) as a way to get [name]Kit[/name]. Also I suppose any [name]KI[/name] name:
[name]Kiana[/name]
[name]Kiara[/name]
[name]Kimana[/name]
Kimatra
[name]Kimora[/name]
Kineta
Kinta
[name]Kiona[/name]
[name]Kirsten[/name]
Kita – real name – means smooth, a kitten
[name]Kiyana[/name]
Kiziah
I adore kit! I think it has plenty of substance and I am becoming more and more a fan of naming a kid what you are going to call them.
I think it’s cute. I would probably use a longer fn but that’s just me
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Antonia[/name] would be gorgeous cause I think it needs something strong & feminine to anchor it. I dont know…the a-t kind of blends together?
[name]Kit[/name] could be short for [name]Kitty[/name], [name]Orchid[/name], [name]Beckett[/name]…
[name]Kit[/name] is really nice, and I think is can stand alone. But, if you were going to use a longer name, here’s some suggestions:
[name]Katrina[/name]/[name]Katerina[/name]
Kitrid? I know someone with this name.
