Is Liam still hot/fresh... Or cooling off???

What a gorgeous name, but the last 6 boy babies I know have it as a first or middle name.
Crazy!
It feels as popular as jennifer in the 80’s. Is that possible?

I love [name_m]Liam[/name_m], i hear it a lot though. I wanted to use it for my first but he was definitely a [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. I still love his name even though it is number one now 8 years later. If you love [name_m]Liam[/name_m] you should use it despite it everywhereness

I think it’s still a pretty popular name [name_m]IRL[/name_m], I have personally always loved it, but my DH isn’t into it. If being popular doesn’t bother you than use it.

It’s funny I’ve never met a [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. What I hear tons of:

[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_u]Aidan[/name_u]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_m]Greyson[/name_m]

[name_m]Liam[/name_m] hasn’t taken off where I live yet, but it’s a small town and we’re definitely behind in the times. So to me it’s still fresh. If you love it, use it.

I’m in the UK, and all the Liams I know are in their late teens (my age onwards).

So naturally I find [name_m]Liam[/name_m] on a baby already pretty tired. It’s a nice sound, however.

It’s supposedly a top 5 choice where I live, but I’ve only ever met one Canadian [name_m]Liam[/name_m], and he was a teenager. I’ve yet to meet a little [name_m]Liam[/name_m]! I think it’s a gorgeous choice though, it’s almost like a modern classic, the way [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Megan[/name_f], and even [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] are, all have stood the test of time really, [name_m]Liam[/name_m] is starting to, and has done in the United Kingdom & [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] it seems (similar to [name_f]Megan[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], etc). I don’t think you can really go wrong with it!

It’s very popusar

[name_m]Liam[/name_m] is undoubtedly popular! But whether or not it is ‘tired’ is a different question. I don’t think it is! To me, a a tired popular name is one that sounds dated and out of steam like [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Cody[/name_u], [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], [name_m]Justin[/name_m], [name_u]Jayden[/name_u], [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] etc. But there are other popular names that sound handsome, sweet and timeless no matter what like [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]William[/name_m]. I would put [name_m]Liam[/name_m] in the second category. I hear it a lot but I’m not ‘tired’ of hearing it.

The only [name_m]Liam[/name_m] I know just graduated high school. It’s all the way down at #15 in my state, and I’ve only seen it on a baby once.

This is what I asked the other day. For how popular it is and me working in childcare, I really rarely hear this name [name_m]IRL[/name_m].

I haven’t known a [name_m]Liam[/name_m] for quite some time now! One of my pastors, several years back, had three boys, and his youngest was [name_m]William[/name_m] nn [name_m]Liam[/name_m], but he’s probably a teenager by now. I heard a mom yelling [name_m]Liam[/name_m] a year or two ago as I was waiting for a ride home from work, but that was just in passing, and I currently don’t know any. Six is a lot of Liams! The percentage of kids having top 10 names has lowered drastically since the 1980s, so I highly doubt there are as many Liams as Jennifers, but I suppose it might feel that way. I don’t know about you, but I did the math for my state, and it really only averages out to there being one [name_m]Liam[/name_m] about every other grade in each public school district in its current level of popularity (there were almost 800 Liams born in my state last year, and it ranked number 2). That doesn’t include all the Catholic schools, the [name_m]Christian[/name_m]-but-not-Catholic schools, the private-but-not-[name_m]Christian[/name_m] schools, the charter schools, or the home schools, though, so it’s probably in reality quite lower than that. So if everything was equal, a little [name_m]Liam[/name_m] wouldn’t have another [name_m]Liam[/name_m] in his class (much less his grade!), but there would be others in his school district. Of course, popularity isn’t as neat as all that, but it gives you a general idea. You might just be in a pocket of [name_m]Liam[/name_m]-lovers. I think it’s still pretty red-hot–it’s been around number two for a couple years now–and I doubt it’ll drop terribly soon, but it still is a nice name and I’d love to know at least one [name_m]Liam[/name_m] personally! I like the name a lot.

I’ve never really liked [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. I much prefer [name_m]William[/name_m]. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] is super popular where I live too. I’m hoping it is cooling off but I think it is still hot right now.
