Is Lorelei to "out there"?

Is [name]Lorelei[/name] to mythological or fairy tale to be used as a name?

I adore [name]Lorelei[/name]! The mythical/fairy tale allusions only adds to its charm, in my opinion  It’s a less common form of [name]Laura[/name], to me with some great nn: [name]Lora[/name], [name]Lore[/name], [name]Rae[/name], [name]Rory[/name] ([name]Gilmore[/name] Girls, anyone?).

I love the sound and feel of [name]Lorelei[/name]. I don’t think it’s any more mythological or fairy tale than [name]Athena[/name] or any of those other names people love

I don’t think so! [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls will help you a bit! [name]Lorelei[/name] is gorgeous and I love [name]Lola[/name] as a nn x

No, I love the name [name]Lorelai[/name], especially since my daughter, [name]Naomi[/name], is very good friends with a [name]Lorelai[/name]!

[name]Bree[/name]

Absolutely not! I quite like the name [name]Lorelei[/name], I think it’s lovely and it was at #499 on the popularity list this year so it’s not too out there, plus (although I’m not sure if this matters to you) I love that it’s a [name]German[/name] name. Maybe check the meaning, though - it apparently means “alluring; temptress” and I’m not sure whether or not it would bother you to put that meaning on a little girl.

I think [name]Lorelei[/name] is beautiful! However, I don’t care for [name]Rory[/name] or [name]Lori[/name] as nickname, I just like [name]Lorelei[/name] as is. [name]Lola[/name] is cute though.

I definitely don’t think it’s too out there. Maybe I’m missing some information but I don’t see [name]Lorelei[/name] as a fairy tale -ish type of name. I think you’d be fine.

[name]Lorelei[/name] is a great name and is definitely usable!
