Is [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] too trendy? Nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
I don’t think so. I can’t see it ever becoming popular enough to really date the bearer to the late 2010s. It’s definitely on-trend but I wouldn’t call in trendy. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] “[name_f]Maggie[/name_f]” is lovely!
While this name does happen to be rising in use right now, it doesn’t strike me as trendy. Its rise is probably influenced by the current popularity of botanical names, but [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is not one of the most commonly used ones. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is a popular nickname right now, but I wouldn’t call it trendy either.
I agree with the previous posters. I doubt [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] will ever enter the top 100, unless a famous celebrity uses it or something.
If you still worry about that you could use a more unexpected nickname, like [name_f]Nolia[/name_f]/[name_f]Nolie[/name_f] or [name_f]Malia[/name_f]/[name_u]Mal[/name_u]. Though [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is nice too!
I agree with the others - it follows a trend but i dont think it’s “trendy” and I dont think it ever will be popular enough to be.
Not trendy, very beautiful!
[name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is so lovely! I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], it is not too trendy and has vintage airs!
I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! It’s so very beautiful, and [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is adorable.
I agree with everyone else, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is on trend but definitely not trendy.
I think it’s trendy, not because it’s highly popular, but it follows this decade’s popular use of nature names.
From 2013 when it reentered the top 1000 since 1940 at #974, it jumped to #384 in 2017. If it continues gaining in leaps and bounds in popularity, then I could see it getting to the top 100. You should consider your state’s popularity for the name, not the whole US as there would be a lot less girls named [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] per state.
