[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I would like to name my baby girl [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] with a nickname [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. What do you think of [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]? Does it associate with beauty and grace? Thanks!!
I actually do associate [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] with beauty and grace as the first thing that comes to my mind is [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] DePrince, an incredible and inspiring ballerina. She is definitely the kind of person you would like your little girl to share a name with!
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is a name where the spelling makes a huge difference in my perception. The collection of other spellings ([name_f]Mikayla[/name_f], McKaila, basically any version with a “k”) seem trendy and somewhat unserious to me, but [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] seems more mature and classic. Graceful is a great word for it.
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is beautiful and sophisticated, and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is a stunning nickname!
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is gorgeous! I know a Mekeilah, and while the names aren’t spelled the same she is one of the most lovely people I know, so that’s what I associate it with. It’d be a beautiful name for your little girl
I like michaela, and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is such an adorable nn for it. The nickname makes me love the name even more:)
I adore [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]! I used to be pretty indifferent to it, as I have known and met so so so many! But they almost all have used the trendy spellings. The traditional spelling is lovely, and the nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is perfect! [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] will age well, too. Because of [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] DePrince (as a ballerina myself, she is a role model) I most definitely associate the name with beauty and grace as well as strength and hope. I can’t encourage you enough!
I have been working on combos to use for [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] for a while now. What middle names are you considering?
I love [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]! And I hadn’t thought of the nickname [name_f]Mia[/name_f] but it makes a lot of sense. I definitely associate it with beauty. I also agree that the spelling makes a big difference!
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is beautiful! And the nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is gorgeous, too.
I would not associate [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] with beauty and grace but I do not have a problem with it. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is a good nickname for [name_f]Michaela[/name_f].
The first time I heard [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] was on Dr. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], Medicine Woman and I was fascinated by a woman with such power in a setting that it was unusual for at the time the show was set in, so it has made me a fan of the name… but as pps mentioned, only with the original spelling as you’ve chosen. Well done!
Me too- first I heard was on Dr. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and thought it was so beautiful.
This is a name where spelling is everything to me. [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] is elegant and beautiful. All the modern spellings are terrible (imo) - [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f], [name_f]McKayla[/name_f] etc. It’s hard for me to even believe they’re the same name when spoken aloud.
It never fails to make me laugh when I see like a bajillion people on these threads absolutely disagreeing on a name or a spelling that I like. I feel so abnormal lol
I actually love [name_f]Makaela[/name_f]/[name_f]Makayla[/name_f] and dislike [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. It just looks too much like [name_u]Michael[/name_u] to me =P
Giggles aside, I love the name [name_f]Makaela[/name_f], but it doesn’t exactly make me think graceful and beauty. I think cute, adorable, bouncy, happy girl.
I’m not a fan. It feels very dated and trendy to me. I think [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is beautiful.
