It occurred to me last night that [name]Nathaniel[/name] sounds awesome and Colonial American with our last name. Our Anglo surname has the same rhythm as [name]Dennison[/name] or Paddington. Written out, the combo would look quite similar to “[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Dennison[/name],” though our actual surname flows off the tongue better with it and it would sound more like “[name]Nathaniel[/name] Paddington.” The combo just has the vibe of a Revolutionary War-era patriot to me, which I love. But is [name]Nathaniel[/name] so popular that it’s boring? [name]How[/name] many young Nathaniels do you know? Is it unremarkable? Opinions? Middle name would possibly be [name]Dan[/name] to honor one of the grandfathers whose name truly is just [name]Dan[/name], not [name]Daniel[/name].
I don’t know a single [name]Nathaniel[/name], I have heard of one who was a bully but it’s still my number one name.
[name]Nathaniel[/name]'s very classic to me, it’s a lovely name, and I think it’s very versatile. However, [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Dan[/name] doesn’t work imo, and also not with your surname.
I love [name]Nathaniel[/name] because of the meaning (gift of God) and nn [name]Nate[/name]. To me it is classic and timeless, not boring. It looks like it would go well with your last name too, so I would use it!
My husband and I are using [name]Nathaniel[/name], should we ever have a boy. It’s a family name. I also worried that it was too boring, so we decided to spruce it up a little with the nickname [name]Thane[/name]. It wouldn’t work for everyone, but we like the fantasy sound of it. It has plenty of other nicknames, so it’s a pretty versatile name. I like it.
Okay, so I’m a writer and I’ve got this really, really rotten character named [name]Nathaniel[/name] who clouds my judgement on this name but… No, I don’t think [name]Nathaniel[/name] is boring. I’ve never met a [name]Nathaniel[/name] either. I’m a sucker for the colonial/Revolutionary patriot vibe, which I do get from [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Dennison[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] Paddington. I really like it for you.
I think its a great name with lots of history. Not boring imho.
Great image for your name. You should start a thread of Colonial American, silver-shoebuckles names to go with Paddington/[name]Dennison[/name].
I think [name]Nathaniel[/name] is gorgeous. It’s also common. I find it so musical that it doesn’t get boring to me. It’s such a sublime balance of sounds. It has the stark, wintery, [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] side, and this other very angelic side… Maybe because of the -iel ending, it reminds me of angel names like [name]Gabriel[/name], Remiel, Zadkiel, [name]Nuriel[/name], [name]Muriel[/name]… only more beautiful because of that whispery TH-sound.
I know a kid named [name]Nathaniel[/name], whose toddler brother calls him Thanio. (“THAN-ee-o”) Pretty cute nickname option. And [name]Natty[/name]'s not bad either (as in [name]Natty[/name] Bumpo.)
I love [name]Nathaniel[/name]. No matter how many other middle name options I try out for [name]Zion[/name], I always come back to [name]Nathaniel[/name]. I don’t like [name]Nathan[/name] or [name]Nate[/name] or [name]Nat[/name]/[name]Natty[/name], but I adore [name]Nathaniel[/name], for basically all of the reasons [name]Em[/name] said I think he’s classic and dashing with just a tiny sweet hint of mournful mystery.
I know some who is engaged to [name]Nathaniel[/name]. He goes by the whole name. Other than that, I don’t know any. It’s a classic choice.
I know one [name]Nathaniel[/name] and he’s 18.
I love the name. I don’t think it could ever be boring.
I’ve never met a [name]Nathaniel[/name]. The name isn’t boring to me at all. It’s handsome, distinguished, and sounds like a real winner for you.
I love [name]Nathaniel[/name], have never meet one and in no way think it’s boring.
I don’t think it’s boring at all. I love it. I’d never use it because I know a [name]Nathaniel[/name] that’s ruined the name for me. But the only thing I really like about him is his name!
[name]Nathaniel[/name] is on my list for baby #2 (if & when) so I don’t think it’s boring either. I know 2 [name]Nathan[/name]'s (one in his 20s and one 6 month old), and one [name]Nathaniel[/name] in his 20s, but that’s all. To me, [name]Nathaniel[/name] is much more distinguished and handsome than [name]Nathan[/name]. You should definitely keep it on your short list!
I absolutely adore [name]Nathaniel[/name]. I’ve liked it since the fifth grade, after reading a book and falling in love with a character by this name. I see [name]Nathaniel[/name] as down to earth yet distinguished, handsome but not afraid to get dirty. Not boring at all. I’d probably only use it as a middle name though, as I’m personally not a huge fan of the almost inevitable [name]Nate[/name] or [name]Nathan[/name] nn.
To me popular doesn’t equal boring. I love the name [name]Elizabeth[/name], and I would never consider it boring because of all its history.
For some reason I have never, and I mean never, liked [name]Nathaniel[/name] or [name]Nathan[/name]. I have a hard time pronouncing it for some reason. I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around it.
I don’t think [name]Nathaniel[/name] is boring at all and I have never met a [name]Nathaniel[/name] in my life.
