[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Nebraska! [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t let anyone convince you otherwise
Following up on the thread, YOU made me [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Nebraska! Haha, just not enough to use it myself.
There are so many beautiful/pretty/feminine names out there, it seems like a wasted opportunity to use a name like that as a first name. The only time it would sit right with me, is if there was some connection/story behind the name to the actual place.
Nebraska makes me think of the Koch brothers. I googled it and they are from Kansas, but that was my immediate association. I think, as many people mentioned, it depends on what your connection with the state/your location. At the moment, I would say that I think some of the Midwestern states have an association with antiquated ideologies. However, [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] is in the Top 50 (or 100, I can’t remember) in Australia, so it really does depend a lot on where you will be living

I think it’s usable. In middle or high school, I read the novel “The Adventures of [name_u]Blue[/name_u] Avenger” by [name_f]Norma[/name_f] [name_m]Howe[/name_m] and loved it. The main female character in the book is named Omaha Nebraska [name_m]Brown[/name_m], and she is pretty cool. (Incidentally, the book covers the theme of how your name can change your attitude, among other, heavier themes. It’s a good book).
It is different, it might work better for a boy? But if you love it and you are happy then go for it. I also think the nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] is really cute.
I love Nebraska nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] ! [name_m]Just[/name_m] adorable . Although i prefer [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] or [name_u]Nevada[/name_u] , Nebraska is still cute . Some nn [name_u]Asa[/name_u] , [name_f]Nera[/name_f] , [name_u]Rae[/name_u] .
I actually love this name; not my style personally, but certainly adorable!
For possible nicknames, maybe [name_f]Nessa[/name_f], [name_f]Nessie[/name_f], or even Braska?
