We are expecting in early [name_u]June[/name_u]. We find out the gender in a week, but can’t help but get a list going for either gender. We have one child, a two year old boy named [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]. We a have narrowed down our favorite girl names to
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m], but are having trouble finding a boys name. I want something that is unique, but not weird, and something that is similar in strength to the name [name_m]Knox[/name_m]. Our favorite name right now is [name_m]Dax[/name_m], but I’m worried that it’s too similar to our son’s name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any opinions on this? Or any suggestions for boy names. We like 1-2 syllables for a boy name. Thank you all in advance
I don’t think it’s too similar, personally! [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_m]Dax[/name_m] can totally be brothers in my mind.
However, if you plan on having more children, it does seem to start a pattern for the boys that a third son may feel left out of if his name doesn’t fit the pattern.
I would say they are much too similar. However, [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] is another option that does not sound too similar to [name_m]Knox[/name_m]. Some ideas that come to mind when I hear [name_m]Knox[/name_m]:
The ending sounds are a bit close but I doubt that it will be a problem in everyday life.

[name_u]Jett[/name_u]
[name_u]Davis[/name_u]
[name_u]Levi[/name_u]
[name_m]Zane[/name_m]
[name_u]Blaze[/name_u]
[name_u]Cade[/name_u]
[name_m]Zach[/name_m]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_m]Preston[/name_m]
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_u]Royce[/name_u]
[name_u]Brett[/name_u]
[name_u]Beck[/name_u]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_u]Jules[/name_u]
How about [name_u]Rex[/name_u] or [name_u]Royce[/name_u]? I also thought of [name_m]Gage[/name_m] and [name_u]Lex[/name_u]. Or even [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and [name_u]Lex[/name_u] for short.
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and [name_m]Dex[/name_m] would be better with [name_m]Knox[/name_m] I think?
I don’t think that they are too similar, I think they go together really well.
If you are really thinking that you want to consider different names you might like [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u], [name_u]Maddox[/name_u], [name_u]Lennox[/name_u], [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u] & [name_u]Axel[/name_u].
I think if you don’t plan on having another child, it’s alright. People use themed names all the time, and I would say it’s a theme of a sort. But if you had another son in the future, for example [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u], [name_m]Knox[/name_m], [name_m]Dax[/name_m], and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] sounds slightly weird. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I love [name_m]Dax[/name_m]! But I see what your saying. Maybe you could use [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] or [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as a full name and [name_m]Dax[/name_m] as a nickname
Daxton [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] and [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] and [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]
Alexander is probably my favourite option because it is so versatile. I feel as if it pairs well with everything. You can you [name_m]Dax[/name_m] as a nickname and I feel it blends [name_m]Knox[/name_m] with [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
Love love love [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]!! That is gorgeous. [name_m]Knox[/name_m] [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] is fabulous as well. I would say [name_m]Dax[/name_m] is too similar to [name_m]Knox[/name_m]. Here are some suggestions:
