I’m not expecting, but for some reason this popped into my head.
I think that it would make for a very bold middle name, and could be pretty cool with the right first name: something simple like [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Poseidon[/name_m] or [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_m]Poseidon[/name_m] would work well.
As a first name, though, it’s not for me. It’s just too much name: both in terms of sound and backstory. I can’t really think of any obvious shortenings, either, if he didn’t feel like going by such an eye-catching name all the time: Posse? [name_m]Don[/name_m]?
I’m sure people have been named [name_m]Poseidon[/name_m] and have got on just fine with it, but I personally wouldn’t like to be one of them!
At first I thought it was a little out there but after saying it a few times, I actually like the name and can imagine on it a child or adult.
That’s a lot of name for an adult, let alone a child! It would make a bold middle name like @katinka said, but definitely unusable as a first.
I think it’s an excellent middle name, and although I think nn [name_u]Poe[/name_u] would be so cute, it’s just a little too grand and out there to use as a first
I think you could use it, but I like the suggestion of making it a mn instead. I also agree that [name_u]Po[/name_u] is a cute nn.
It’s way too much, imo. I don’t think it could work.
