Is Savvy a nickname for safari

Is it? Does it work?

I personally would hate to be called either. Neither sound like a name to me. Savvy means to understand something well, and a safari is a trip in which one observes wild animals in their natural habitat. I would be embarrassed to be called either, sorry.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Savannah[/name] or [name]Sofia[/name]?

Safari is not a name for a person. I went to school with a girl named Sarvary (prn Sa-vha-ree) and people called her “Safari” all the time. Savvy could be an acceptable nickname for [name]Savannah[/name], although all the Savannahs I know go by Sav for short.

I don’t like Safari as a name for a person, either. Some word names work, but this one just doesn’t. Savvy could work for [name]Savannah[/name] if you’re looking for a way to use that nickname and to incorporate the African nature concept.

…Or if you’re looking for something unique, Saveria would work. I know one personally and close friends sometimes call her “Savvy/Savi.”

But it would work.

Yes, but I dislike both names. I prefer previous posters’ suggestions of [name]Savannah[/name] if you’re looking for a longer version of Savvy.

I knew a girl named [name]Savannah[/name] who went by Savvy. I think it’s a good compromise to Safari while still keeping the theme.

[name]Savannah[/name] is a fantastic compromise. But if you’re dead set on Safari, I’d go for Ri as a nickname.

I, too, would rather see [name]Savannah[/name]. Or, as an alternative, [name]Sapphire[/name], which is more of a “real” name than Safari, but still a bold pick.

I didn’t like any of this name I don’t think safari is name of human being. You can also search some good name from Internet therefore you can search name their also.

This. [name]Savannah[/name] nn Savvy isn’t terrible.

Sorry but I agree

I like sapphire as an alternative, but i still think safari is pretty. I also like ri as as a nuckname for safari
