I know that [name]Serena[/name] is familiar but not too popular name in US.
But I’m concerned about its popularity in UK.
So if you know something about this, please let me know.
And What about [name]Georgiana[/name]? Is it popular in UK? I heard that [name]Georgia[/name] is very popular in there, so…
[name]How[/name] about [name]Georgiana[/name]? And how about [name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Margot[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name] and [name]Helena[/name]?
Thank you so much!
I’m happy to see these are your choices! All fits what you wanted perfectly. This data is from 2011, for [name]England[/name] and [name]Wales[/name].
[name]Helena[/name]: #328, 146 babies
[name]Serena[/name]: #365, 129 babies
[name]Vivienne[/name]: #545, 76 babies
[name]Margot[/name]: #776, 48 babies
[name]Georgiana[/name]: #858, 42 babies
[name]Vivien[/name]: #1067, 32 babies
[name]Vivian[/name]: #1269, 25 babies
[name]Clarissa[/name]: #1489, 20 babies
None of these names are considered popular at all, but [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Margot[/name] are the ones I’d watch out for. They are the only climbing ones, the rest has been jumping up and down or falling.
Check out this place for charts of their popularity between 1996 and 2010:
[name]Georgina[/name] however is very popular.
Edit: Ok subjectively speaking, rather than statistically, you are like to come across a fair few Georgina’s, Georgia’s and Genevieve’s across the age ranges in the UK. So whilst Georgiana is not common, you are going to common across people with similar names/nicknames.
It isn’t very popular, it’s ranked at #157, 335 babies in 2011. It was ranked at #33 in 1997, but has had a huge decline in popularity.
I only know 1 person called [name]Helena[/name] and the rest nobody. I think it depends where you are. I like [name]Georgiana[/name] a lot although there are many people with variants of this.
wow! thank you so much!
Of all the names above (apart from [name]Georgia[/name]) I’ve only met one child baring a name. I met a five/six year old girl called [name]Clarissa[/name] at the school I was oing work experience at, but this is my only experience of any of the above names - apart from my late [name]Nanny[/name] who was [name]Vivienne[/name]. My only association with [name]Serena[/name] is the tennis playing [name]Williams[/name] sisters (mum’s a big tennis fan), but I can safely say - at least where I am - that none of these names seems to be popular at the moment.
i really thank you!
I’m a primary school teacher in the UK and I know of no children with any of the names you have listed. However, [name]Georgia[/name] is pretty popular and well within the top 50 I do believe and I agree that of all the names you are most likely to come across a [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Georgina[/name].
I know a middle aged [name]Vivienne[/name], and a 20 something named [name]Helena[/name].
thank you so much! you’re very helpful!
