Is Sienna too close to Selena/Sierra?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Could use some opinions on this. I really like the name [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], however we have some friends with similar girl names. One is [name_f]Selena[/name_f] and one is [name_u]Sierra[/name_u]. Is this too close to be an option? Due in [name_f]April[/name_f]! Thank you!

They’re friends so I don’t think it’s a problem (as it could be for siblings for example)
And it’s close but a different name. I see zero issue here. Go for it!

It’s fine! Friends have the same/similar names to one another all the time!

I don’t think that’s bad!! I grew up with friends [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], and [name_f]Maddy[/name_f] (all in one friend group—two of whom are sisters). Worked out just fine!

I I think its fine, growing up I had friends named [name_u]Allie[/name_u], [name_f]Aly[/name_f], and [name_f]Kallie[/name_f]. They had no problems.

Since they’re friends and not siblings, I think it would be fine. [name_f]Selena[/name_f] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] are distinct enough, and while [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] are similar visually, for me they have such different vibes that it’s fine

Too close for siblings. Not too close for friends. [name_f]My[/name_f] name carries about a dozen different spelling variations and a multitude more of names similar…. I had friends and classmates and to this day peers with all the varying similarities and differences . It’s really no big deal.

i wouldnt say so, since they are friends! if they were siblings, it would be a different story. plus, it’s always cool to have a friend who has a similar name to you. :dove:

No! Not an issue at all.

No. They are different children of different parents. Plus your child will meet tons of people with all these three names.

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] are kind of close but not so much that it should be an issue. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is a lovely name.
