Is Silas too similar to sister Aspen?

One ends with -as and the other starts with it, so I am curious whether you think they’re too close to use together.

for me, nope! i say silas as si-lis rather than si-las

but even if you pronounce it as the second option, you could always say ‘aspen & silas’ over ‘silas & aspen’ if it bother you too much!

I think it’s fine  plus you can always say it as [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] if it bothers you a bit

I actually really like how they have some repeating sounds. They sound really nice together.

I agree it’s not too close, just kind of a cute subtle link.

[name_f]My[/name_f] first reaction to the title of this was…How are they similar - the tree/wood/forest theme?

It would never have occurred to me that they are similar names at all.
I pronounce [name_m]Silas[/name_m] as Sigh-luss and [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] as Ass-pun so the only shared sound is s

I don’t think so!
