Is Sullivan too similar to Hudson?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Nameberries,

I love the name [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] but we already have a [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. Is the sound too similar to name baby 2?

Appreciate your feedback.

I don’t think [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is too close to [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]! They are similar in feel and style in being both stylish surname names, but they also have important differences – [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is 3 syllables vs. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]'s 2, they have different first initials and different ending sounds. It’s always a trick to find sibling names that are compatible without being too matchy but I think you’ve succeeded.

They’re not too close for siblings, though they are pretty similar in a way. I can see why you’d think they’re too close. But imo they’re perfectly usable together.

I don’t think so, no. They end in the same letter and share the same 2nd letter, but the sounds and syllables aren’t the same.

[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] are logical siblings. Go for it!

I don’t think they’re too close at all! Nothing to worry about

[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] aren’t too similar at all. They have different beginning sounds and syllable counts. Having the same ending sound isn’t a problem when the rest of the names are so different. They fit together well stylistically in a complementary but not matchy way.

No, I think they go together nicely.

I think they are great together!

I don’t think so but they are definitely in the same style, which is a good thing for siblings!

Not too similar at all!

I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] are a little close, but I would suggest [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]?
