Is the name Constance (nn Connie) too dated?

I love “old lady names” and I’ve recently started to like this name a lot. Is it too old? Wdyt??

I love the name [name_f]Constance[/name_f] nn and [name_u]Connie[/name_u] is adorable! Definitely usable!

I love [name_f]Constance[/name_f]! I see it as a cool, feisty, strong, determined, no nonsense name, which was very much influenced by [name_f]Constance[/name_f] Bonacieux in a TV adaptation of the Three Musketeers. I really like a good vintage name, and I think this is one that has a lot of personality and adventure to it, or at least in my eyes. I do, however, find [name_u]Connie[/name_u] quite dated, and not so vintage. It feels like it was very trendy and popular at one point and has become a bit worn out and tired; I guess it’s just not my style. I’d prefer [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] if I had to use a nickname.

I think it’s the nickname [name_u]Connie[/name_u] that feels dated, rather than [name_f]Constance[/name_f] itself. I’d use another nickname, such as [name_f]Cece[/name_f] or [name_f]Coco[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Constance[/name_f]! I don’t think it is dated at all, there is something rather timeless about it. I don’t like [name_u]Connie[/name_u], however - such a boring take on a beautiful name! I would be inclined to find my own cute NN for it.

I love both, but especially [name_u]Connie[/name_u]. I have several aunts named [name_f]Concetta[/name_f] (we are Italian) and they go by [name_u]Connie[/name_u]

[name_f]Constance[/name_f] is adorable! I think [name_u]Connie[/name_u] is actually alright, personally, because I love the character on [name_m]Steven[/name_m] Universe :stuck_out_tongue: If you’d prefer another nickname like [name_f]Tansy[/name_f], go for it!
