[name]Hi[/name], my name is [name]Julia[/name], my husband, [name]Jack[/name] and I are expecting our second child around christmas time. We are completly stuck on girls names! I’ve read about 5 baby name books cover to cover and read lists on so many websites but there doesn’t seem to be any names that fit what we are looking for. A friend reccomended I ask for advise here, so here I go!
We looking for a name which is either pretty and feminine or spunky and fresh (or all of the above!).
Preferably a name that is very uncommon enough to be unexpected abd different, but familiar enough to be easily said and spelt. Although length isn’t an issue, I tend to not be a fan of overly long and frilly names.
We would also like a name that has been in use for a long time and has a good history.
A few names that we have considered (but aren’t in love with) are:
[name]Eliza[/name] (although I’m not sure if we could use it for a first name as I have a relative named [name]Elizabeth[/name] who is too close for the name to go unnoticed, but not close enough for a namesake)
[name]Tess[/name] (doesn’t sound the best with our last name)
[name]Olive[/name] (husband doesn’t like it)
[name]Lilia[/name]
[name]Mollie[/name]
If the baby is a boy we are considering [name]Mitchell[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]George[/name], [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Seth[/name].
Would love some suggestions please! Our last name is Edwards and our son’s name is [name]Dane[/name]. (we would like to avoid names begining with J or D)
Thankyou in advance
