[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] Matheus.
Any issues you see? (Besides the unisex nature of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]?) I’ve really fallen for it lately, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some glaring issues with it before I committed to it for my [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] combo. [name_m]General[/name_m] thoughts on the combo?
I had tossed around [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] quite seriously, but I’m using [name_u]Noah[/name_u] elsewhere, I think ([name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]), and while I really like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Philip[/name_m], I hadn’t been able to commit to it, for some reason. Maybe I can use [name_m]Philip/name_m elsewhere.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] honors my mom in a very special, symbolic way, and Matheus (mah-[name_u]TAY[/name_u]-oohs) honors a very special time in my life, in northeastern [name_u]Brazil[/name_u].
Thanks, Berries!
I used to live in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u] and several of my friends there have teenage daughters who are obsessed with a musician by the name of [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] Matheus. That was my first association.
Other than that, I think it is a fine combo.
Thanks, @dewdropsandroses! It’s been several years since I was there, and it was only a very short period of time (less than three weeks), so I didn’t have a chance to really get any of the Brazilian pop-culture ties. That’s too bad, and it gives me pause, but I’m not sure it’d keep me from it? I just thought it felt really Brazilian, just because the only Emersons I know are all Brazilian little boys, and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is so international, and I feel like it’d be pretty widely used in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u], too. I guess I wouldn’t have to use [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]–I was originally drawn to [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] Matheus–but I liked [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] Matheus best of my options (the others were [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] Matheus [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] Matheus [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] Matheus [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] Matheus [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. Maybe Matheus [name_u]Beck/name_u, but I am so picky about [name_u]Beck/name_u.).
Any other thoughts?
Thanks!
I’m really not a fan of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], but I love [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Mateus[/name_m]. My Husband is from Northeast [name_m]Brasil[/name_m] (Recife) and if his mother ever had another son she was going to call him [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], so it’s a known name there, but I didn’t meet or know of a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] during my time there. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Mateus[/name_m] is beautiful, but I feel like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] cheapens the whole thing.
Maybe you could add in something more classically and obviously Brazilian like [name_u]Jo[/name_u]ão? (their [name_m]John[/name_m]) I love [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] also!
