Is this a weird name or a good name?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone

I really like the unique and simple sound of [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], but for the writing i wonder if there’s any written variation with “e” in it.

So I am considering between [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], Lealia, and [name_f]Lelia[/name_f].

What is your impression of each? Which one do you think will give the vibe of a smart and graceful girl ?

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is the only one that seems easy to pronounce. It has a pretty sound but it seems a little like you wanted [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] but found it too popular so put a twist on it.

I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] over the other spellings. [name_f]Leilia[/name_f] might be “lay-[name_f]Leah[/name_f]” but also might be interpreted as “[name_f]Leah[/name_f]-[name_f]Leah[/name_f]” which is silly.

I wouldn’t pronounce any of those spelling variant the same way as [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] — [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] would be “[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-le-ah” and Lealia “lee-AAH-lee-ah”. I prefer the former but chic, simple, familiar [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is my favourite of the three.

There’s also [name_f]Laelia[/name_f] (LIE-lee-ah), which is another floral name (a type of orchid).

I might be a bit prejudiced as my second niece is a [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]…she’s the only one I know [name_m]IRL[/name_m] & is a junior in high school, if you’re wondering about popularity/age group. Like [name_f]Katinka[/name_f], I’d pronounce Lealia as [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-[name_m]AL[/name_m]-lee-uh & [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] as [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-[name_m]AL[/name_m]-ah.

I personally prefer [name_f]Leilia[/name_f] out of the three you mentioned. I do think that all three of these woul potentially be confused with [name_f]Leila[/name_f]/[name_f]Layla[/name_f]; if it were me, personally, I would go for either [name_f]Leila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f], but it’s not  Lealia to me adds a few too many vowels, it makes me think of floral meadows and faeries, not of a particularly intelligent person. (not to say that the fae are not intelligent…)

I really like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and think that spelling in itself gives off the ‘smart and graceful’ vibe you are after.

In answer to your question as to the E though, I think [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] would be your best option. I think the pronunciation (I say LEEL-yuh or [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-lee-uh) is the most similar to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and also, I love the added mythological meaning of [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] – in Slavic Mythology, [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] is the goddess of Spring, and mercy.
