Is this combo too dated?

Does [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] sound too dated? I’m worried that even though they’re both classics it seems like a name from the 90s…

I do like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and would consider it instead of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but our last name starts with M and it seems like a lot of alliteration.

Some others we are considering:

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (also seems dated)
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]

Favorites? Other ideas?

Is [name_f]Emelia[/name_f] an option? Or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]? It seems like the more modern version of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] to me. [name_f]Emelia[/name_f] could go by [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], or [name_f]Mia[/name_f].
[name_f]Emelia[/name_f] [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

From your list [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is very pretty!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a character in the [name_m]Clifford[/name_m] books…not sure if that association matters to you or not.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] is a classic. I don’t think any of your combos sound dated–certainly not [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]!–but I would go with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] if you are looking for a middle name that is on-trend and will update [name_f]Emily[/name_f] a bit. I love the name [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is my own favorite combo.

I love the suggestion of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Emelia[/name_f], or even [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f], [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] sounds cute. From your list, [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are my favorites.

I don’t think it sounds dated. They’re both classics, but [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is still popular so it feels modern and on trend as opposed to dated

I love all of your combos, especially [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

It still feels modern to me.

I think it’s timeless, not dated. I also like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

They’re both classic in my opinion, especially [name_f]Emily[/name_f].

I think it sounds fine! I agree that they are classics. [name_f]Emme[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f] could be slightly more on trend nicknames, if that is what you are looking for!

While I really do think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] works great, [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] are also gorgeous

Timeless. Maybe linked to the90s but who cares?

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] are classics, so I think it is fine to use them. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and all the [name_u]Alex[/name_u]- names seem the most common ones.
I like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] best.

No it’s not, it sounds classy and cute. I love the nns [name_f]Em[/name_f] and [name_f]Emi[/name_f] and well.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] is one of my favorite names, but I hate [name_f]Emelia[/name_f], just too girly for me.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is a great combo and both names separately are lovely traditional names that work just as well now as 20 years ago. Although some of your other combos are also lovely - there’s nothing dated about [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - I like the unexpectedness of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].

I think it’s classic and timeless

[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] might be a fresher option that’s not been suggested yet
