Is this combo too out there?

Is the name [name]August[/name] [name]Wolfhart[/name] too “out there” you think? Husband is wanting a very strong and masculine sounding name and he suggested this one. What do you guys think?

Can you suggest any other middle names that have a similar feel? He doesn’t like common middle names like [name]William[/name], [name]Henry[/name], [name]Alexander[/name] etc.

Thanks

I love [name]August[/name], but I personally wouldn’t use a name like [name]Wolfhart[/name], even if it is in the middle. [name]Just[/name] really not a fan.

[name]How[/name] about: (these middles all mean something to do with strength/power/warrior,etc)

[name]August[/name] [name]Armstrong[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Berenger[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Brant[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Killian[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Everett[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Galton[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Kendrick[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Montgomery[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Ptolemy[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Riordan[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Vladimir[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Warrick[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Orion[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Cobalt[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Kodiak[/name]

Thanks rica!

I think the middle name [name]Vladimir[/name] is the right kind of style he is looking for… but maybe not after someone quite that evil  [name]Ptolemy[/name] is another one I like!

What about just [name]Wolf[/name] in the middle? Or (though this may be too soft for him) just [name]Hart[/name]? I like them separate more than I do together.

I really like the suggestion of [name]August[/name] [name]Wolf[/name]. [name]August[/name] [name]Wolfgang[/name] may be another ‘[name]Wolf[/name]’ option.

[name]August[/name] [name]Night[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Victor[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Leander[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Lionel[/name]

[name]August[/name] [name]Roderick[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Warren[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Harold[/name]
[name]August[/name] Kingly
[name]August[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Bastien[/name]

Thanks for the suggestions!

I like the idea of [name]Wolf[/name] or [name]Hart[/name] as a middle name but because our last name is only one syllable I think the flow is off. 2-1-1 doesn’t sound the best to my ears.

I really like the suggestion of [name]Victor[/name] and [name]Zeus[/name]! Maybe some more names along those lines? I don’t think I am brave enough to use [name]Zeus[/name]! Also, its only one syllable.

Below are some more 2+ syllable names:

[name]August[/name] [name]Brenner[/name]
[name]August[/name] Jaeger/Yaeger
[name]August[/name] [name]Reinhard[/name]/[name]Reinhardt[/name]
[name]August[/name] Schneider
[name]August[/name] [name]Sigmund[/name]
[name]August[/name] Gilgamesh (might be a bit much, but I couldn’t help myself)
[name]August[/name] Diederich/[name]Diederick[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Vincent[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Dominik[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Luther[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Ajax[/name] (a bit ‘A’ heavy for my taste)
[name]August[/name] Chronos
[name]August[/name] Charon
[name]August[/name] [name]Draco[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Draven[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Raven[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Hector[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Hermes[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Helios[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Hercule[/name]

[name]August[/name] [name]Sergei[/name]/[name]Sergey[/name]

I bet I’ll repeat people, sorry!

[name]August[/name] [name]Borden[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Darton[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Destry[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Llewellyn[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Napoleon[/name]

Is [name]Wolfhart[/name] a family name? If so, go for it. If not, ummmm, no. I think it is out there if you just made it up, but fine if there’s a family connection. That said, it does have a great ring to it.

Why not do [name]August[/name] [name]Wolfgang[/name] instead? Same strong feeling, but using an actual man’s name.

But I also want to second [name]Llewellyn[/name]. A great, strong hero name. However it doesn’t have the macho association of [name]Wolfhart[/name].

Check this website that has names meaning “wolf” – there are some great names on it, the challenge is matching one to [name]August[/name]:

[name]August[/name] [name]Lowell[/name]
[name]August[/name] Maheegan
[name]August[/name] [name]Randolph[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Rodolfo[/name]
[name]August[/name] Tunstall
[name]August[/name] [name]Ulrike[/name]

I think the idea of [name]August[/name] [name]Wolfgang[/name] is a viable one, bit here are some other suggestions:
[name]August[/name] [name]Donovan[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Duke[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Cadmon[/name]

[name]August[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] this helps! Bolded are faves.

I just wanted to comment on moxielove’s post; [name]Ulrike[/name] is a [name]German[/name] girl name. With that said, I’m really glad that it is [name]August[/name] you’re working on. It’s less theme-y than the prevoius suggestion in an earlier thread. [name]August[/name] [name]Victor[/name] is really nice, it’s some of my absolute favourite names. And I had to add that the suggestions of [name]Draco[/name], [name]Raven[/name], [name]Icarus[/name] and [name]Orion[/name] are soo cool, as is [name]Night[/name] and [name]Shadow[/name]. I think it would be awesome to have such a middle name as a little boy! What about [name]Knight[/name]? It doesn’t get much more masculine than that! Other suggestions might be [name]Odin[/name] and [name]Thor[/name], if you’re intrested in Norse mythology as well. Or maybe [name]Viggo[/name]?

[name]August[/name] [name]Draco[/name] (Really like this one!)
[name]August[/name] [name]Raven[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Icarus[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Orion[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Victor[/name] (Classy, I think, but still with the roman theme)
[name]August[/name] [name]Night[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Shadow[/name] (Maybe a bit too ‘out there’)
[name]August[/name] [name]Knight[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Odin[/name] (This is cool!)
[name]August[/name] [name]Thor[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Viggo[/name] ([name]Viggo[/name] comes from an old Scandinavian word for war, vig, that has been latinized? latinizised? No clue what the correct term is, pardon the Swedish girl’s lame English!)

[name]Hope[/name] I was of some help! Good luck
