Is this crazy? Lake and Forrest

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!

My daughter’s name is [name_u]Lake[/name_u] and we just had a son and my husband is really liking [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]. Are we crazy to have a sibset with this name combo?

Thanks

Personally I think yes. Would [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] be of interest (green shade just like [name_m]Forest[/name_m])

Nah! They’re word names, yes, but firmly established as first names. It’s not like Tree and Grass.

I think they make a cute sibset, a bit hippy sounding, but still cute.

I do think it sounds over the top outdoorsy. If you have any more kids after this, you might feel boxed into a theme you have to stick to. Also, can you imagine yourself shouting “[name_u]Lake[/name_u]! [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]!” across a playground for them? If you can’t pass that test without feeling silly, then it’s probably time to move onto other names. Otherwise, if you do decide you like [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], then I don’t see the big deal. Sibsets and how well they do or don’t go together are just a matter of personal preference, so just pick names that you like.

Similarly to @vestigesofsummer -Can you pass the test?
If so, to me, it is a little themey, but the names are so beautiful. I adore [name_u]Lake[/name_u]. [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] sounds heavy for a baby boy but i have never considered it before so I am guessing it is not or you have a great nn. Creates beautiful imagery. Any chance you will have a third child. To theme or not?

It is very matchy, but as long as you follow the same pattern with any other children you have (if you plan on any more) it shouldn’t seem very strange (having [name_u]Lake[/name_u], [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] would be a bit weird, for example). I also think they have lovely imagery as siblings.

Could you live with introducing yourself and then your brother to strangers if your names were [name_u]Lake[/name_u] and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]?
As a young child maybe, but the older you get the more ridiculous it sounds and the more embarrassing it is (imo).

If it ends up being this combo, I’d spell [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] with one r, so at least the names properly match.
