We are expecting and while our girl name is sorted, the boy not so much. We are considering using [name_u]Jude[/name_u] as the first name, and our most meaningful middle is [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].
Are they fine together, or a bit hard to say together? I don’t have to have a perfect combination but it can’t be awkward or something I may regret? And I have thought too much about it to have clear perspective anymore, so please help!
Does it have the greatest flow? Not really. Is it bad enough not to use it? No. If [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is the fn you love and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is the mn that means the most to you, I don’t see anything wrong with it.
And tbh, nothing against the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u], but it’s one of those names that a lot of middle names starting with consonants are going to sound clunky against. It just is what it is.
If it bothers you that much though, there’s always the option of a second mn between [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Judah[/name_m] is also an option though personally I prefer simple [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
I actually like them together! I think it may not flow perfectly, but that doesn’t matter. It isn’t hard to say. I don’t trip over it when I say it. Most of the time, people will say the first and last name, not the first and middle, so no worries! If those are the perfect names for you, I say go for it.
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]! I think it sounds great. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is fresh and cool and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is solid and kind. It’s perfect!
It doesn’t roll off the tougne, but there’s really nothing wrong with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. I find it better than [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. If you really wanted to, you could go with [name_m]Judah[/name_m], but [name_u]Jude[/name_u] sounds nicer.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] both sound great to me! [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a really lovely choice.
I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is very handsome. I think it flows better than [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Felix[/name_m].
All 3 of my kids have meaningful middle names and I think the sentiment is more important than the flow of their names. First name you love, most meaningful middle is a winning combination!
Certainly doable, [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a nice, strong name that’s known but not too popular. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is a meaningful classic. It doesn’t flow the best, but it sounds fine.
I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is fine! It’s not difficult to say and doesn’t sound bad when said together. And I don’t think [name_m]Felix[/name_m] flows any better.
There are undoubtedly middle name options that would flow better out there, but I don’t think you should sacrifice the names you love for that when they sound perfectly fine together. It’s a handsome combo.
