Is this hard to pronounce?

Is the name [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] too difficult to pronounce? [name_f]Do[/name_f] the names run together? It sounds fine when I say it but I don’t know about other people.

I’m not pregnant or ttc

I think it flows well and is easy to pronounce. What about [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]??

I think it’s fine; I didn’t notice any running : )

I’m not a fan of having the same endings. The repeating rhyming ending -a sounds a bit monotone.

I think it depends on the pronunciation of [name_f]Helena[/name_f].

[name_f]Laura[/name_f] HELL-uh-nuh is a bit of a mouthful; [name_f]Laura[/name_f] hell-AY-nuh (similar to [name_f]Alayna[/name_f]) flows nicely and is very pretty.

Either way, on paper I think it looks fine. I usually don’t like when first and middle names end in the same sound, but when they have different syllables and the emphasis is on different letters, as in LOR-ah hell-AY-nuh, I think it sounds nice.

“I think it depends on the pronunciation”

Hel-ay-na

I do find it a touch difficult. My maiden name was similar in vowel sounds and ending to my first, and I always found myself repeating my name when introducing myself. I know you don’t use middle names on a regular basis (at least I don’t) but I do think it is something to be careful of. [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] would be a better first name for [name_f]Helena[/name_f] in my opinion.

Not difficult to pronounce at all. They both are quite classic. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] does have 2 pronunciations though. [name_f]One[/name_f] is more like [name_f]Helen[/name_f] -ah. The other is like Hel - lay -nah.
