Is this name a tongue twister?

[name]Nora[/name] [name]Roth[/name]…

we love the name [name]Nora[/name] but i just don’t think it works with our last name… thoughts?! not sure of a middle name but i think the only way it wouldn’t be a tongue twister is if we always called her by “[name]Nora[/name] middle name__”, and im not sure we want to do that.
we have other names we like but i hate to see [name]Nora[/name] cut off the list. I just don’t think it flows though! your thoughts are apprectiated!!!

Personally, I don’t think it flows well. :frowning: I’m sorry. If you love it you’ll get used to saying it. Would [name]Norma[/name] be too outdated to you? Or [name]Nola[/name]?

[name]Nora[/name] is pretty! I do find [name]Nora[/name] [name]Roth[/name] pretty hard to say–would you consider something like [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Roth[/name] (which flows much better, imo), or even something like [name]Honor[/name]/[name]Honora[/name]/[name]Annora[/name]? I think [name]Honora[/name]/[name]Annora[/name] [name]Roth[/name] is still a bit hard to say, but not quite as bad as [name]Nora[/name]. Besides, if [name]Nora[/name] is a nn, I think it’ll be said less with your last name, even if she goes by [name]Nora[/name] 100% of the time.

thanks ladies! i also just dont think it flows. i just needed to hear it from other people, since our siblings and friends that we have told are being too nice about it! hahaha. [name]Eleanor[/name] had crossed my mind but i’m just not sure about it. i think im just going to have to say bye to [name]Nora[/name]!!!

I have to agree - the flow isn’t right. I think [name]Eleanor[/name] gives the same problem… pretty much any name with an R in the last syllable. Are there any variations you like that start with [name]Nora[/name] but have a different ending? That way officially her name will have rhythm but you can still call her [name]Nora[/name].

[name]Norina[/name] [name]Roth[/name]? Still sounds funny. Sorry! Norleen [name]Roth[/name] sounds nice but I am not crazy about the name.

Hmm, good idea! I know a Norelys ([name]Nora[/name]-lees… I like it better spelled Noraliese, though!), and I think that could get the nn [name]Nora[/name]. I’ve also heard Norabelle and Norelle.

I agree with what other people are saying. I like the name [name]Nora[/name]. But [name]Nora[/name] [name]Roth[/name] is kind of hard to say. With a short last name, I did to like longer first names.

I like the idea of Norleen or [name]Norina[/name] so you can nn her [name]Nora[/name]. Other suggestions: [name]Noelle[/name], [name]Nerine[/name]
