Is this name too harsh?

My grandmother’s name is [name_f]Vanora[/name_f] and we always called her Grandma [name_u]Norie[/name_u] because we couldn’t say [name_f]Vanora[/name_f]. I was thinking [name_u]Norrie[/name_u] was a pretty name for a girl. My other grandmother’s name was [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]. So I was thinking about [name_u]Norrie[/name_u] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]. But does [name_u]Norrie[/name_u] sound too harsh? Any suggested variations to soften it up? I thought maybe [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]. Any other suggestions for a softer variation of [name_u]Norrie[/name_u]?

Honestly now the only thing I think when I see it is [name_u]Nori[/name_u], aka [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]West[/name_u]. It IS such a pretty sounding name, I have to disagree with it sounding harsh, I think it sounds easy and lovely and really pretty.
