So, our last name is Hennebury, and my wife and I just found out we are going to have a boy. We both like the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m]… is [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Hennebury too much? (Last name pronounced [name_f]Hen[/name_f]-ah-bury, not berry).
Thanks!
I like the name, and although it’s a little odd with the last name, I think it will be fine.
I may look for something else. Maybe you would like:
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
[name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Finnley[/name_u]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] but I don’t think it works
[name_m]Harry[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_u]Cory[/name_u]
This is tricky, and I feel your pain because one of my favorite names has a very similar level of overlap with my last name. To me, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Hennebury isn’t ideal, but–if you just decide to lean into it, I actually think it could work. It lends something a little unique to classic [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! And [name_m]Henry[/name_m]’s classic-ness plus Hennebury’s non-wordiness help it sound less cartoon-character-y to me than some names with a similar amount of repetition. I’m not sure this is the route I would go, but if it’s truly your favorite, I do think it’s doable. If not, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] also reminds me of:
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Charles[/name_m]/[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]/[name_m]Ben[/name_m]/[name_m]Benji[/name_m]

I would stay away from [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Maybe:
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m]
[name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Anthony[/name_m]/[name_m]Anton[/name_m]
[name_m]Martin[/name_m]
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
I actually think it works. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] could be a great alternative!
I like it! It’s got a really fun and memorable sound. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a lovely name too
Thanks everyone for the feedback - we are definitely open to other names, and it did start as a more joking name, but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] has grown on us. [name_f]My[/name_f] wife is open to [name_m]George[/name_m], and I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_u]Andre[/name_u], and some others but we’re still open to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] too… we’ve got some time to decide ([name_f]October[/name_f] due date). The pressure is high - our first is [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and people have said they really like that name so we’re trying to live up to that now!

I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] but I do think its too much with your surname, sorry. Would [name_m]Harry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] be of interest to you?
It’s too much. [name_m]How[/name_m] about a different H name: [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_m]Harris[/name_m].
For me, it’s a bit too much. I’d keep looking (as lovely as [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is)
With [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] (which is fabulous btw), I’d suggest [name_u]Miles[/name_u], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a beautiful name, but maybe you could add a middle name to separate the two a bit? It would definitely sound less odd with something in the middle
