Thank you for everyone’s input!
Actress [name_f]Courteney[/name_f] Cox has a daughter named [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u], and I think it can pass as a first name. It is quite posh a la [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Chanel[/name_f], though not exactly my taste. I think I wouldn’t mind a little girl named [name_f]Coco[/name_f] with a feminine, luxe middle name like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] or [name_f]Gianna[/name_f].
I kind of feel like if you’re going to use a name like [name_f]Coco[/name_f], you should lean into the rich, luxuriousness and go full European!
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]! Omg I am melting with that one. [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] that suggestion!
I quite like it but would prefer it as a nickname. Some possible full names:
[name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
[name_f]Colleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a bit much
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] would work better with [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a first name and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], or even [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would work better if you’re okay with [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a nickname.
What about [name_f]Colette[/name_f] for a first name with [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a nickname?
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is pretty too!! I love these ideas. Thanks!
I have to chime in to say that I am loooving these middle name suggestions for [name_f]Coco[/name_f]! I do not think that [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is too weird… I am a teacher and I would see this name as a refreshing change. I’ve never met anyone named [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- just puppies, but I do not exclusively see it as a pet name.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a nickname, I can’t see it being a full name. [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has too much -o- sound for my taste.
I think [name_f]Coco[/name_f] could potentially stand on its own but I’d imagine as a teenager or adult that a [name_f]Coco[/name_f] might want to outgrow the cuteness a little bit. I think I like it better as a nickname with the intentions of using [name_f]Coco[/name_f] almost exclusively. [name_f]Collette[/name_f], [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] could all be longer forms.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] is a great international choice! I definitely think of Coco Chanel and even Pixar’s grandma Coco so I really don’t struggle imagining this name on an adult.
I would avoid [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] though because it reminds me of the music duo CocoRosie.
I’m with the pp that [name_f]Coco[/name_f] seems to fit a little girl well but I can’t imagine an adult really loving the name. I’d personally go with a longer name and have [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a nickname!
I think it works fine on its own; I’m a big fan of shortened full names. Another longer name option for nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is [name_f]Cosima[/name_f].
I know a teenage [name_f]Coco[/name_f] who wears the name beautifully. [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is her name.
I used to love it until someone pointed out it’s used in South [name_u]America[/name_u] as “a number two” is used in the US, not even sure if it’s true but I can’t get over it
I think the person who told you that was thinking of caca, which is sometimes used in Mexico and other parts of South America. Coco is definitely not used to refer to that and I think the two sound different enough to not be a problem.
I know a couple of little Cocos but for me it’d have to be a nickname, say for [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] or [name_f]Constance[/name_f]. It’s too showbiz for my taste on own.
I really like [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. Its tricky, as it is with names like [name_f]Lola[/name_f] or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. For it is essentially a nickname now serv ing as a first name. But Id go for it. It feels pretty fresh and should not later seem uncool as the years pass. [name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] is of course the most notable [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
Well, it is very pretty, but I’m not completely sure that it’s a great fit. It would be great for a nickname, though. I mean, if that name feels right to you, go for it! You’re the mother here, so pick what you think is the best name.
It’s okay but as a nickname. I feel it’s way too nicknamey to have on its own.
