I would use it. Personally, I prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Coral[/name_f] is perfectly usable, assuming it sounds well with your surname.
[name_f]Coral[/name_f] is fine. Totally agree that it is a natural variation of that whole family of names.
I know of few Corals, it’s nice name.
My views exactly.
I agree with pp. [name_f]Coral[/name_f] is usable. Although I prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
What about [name_f]Carol[/name_f]?
I had a moment where I was really in love with the name [name_f]Coral[/name_f], and then I realized it rhymed with “oral.” It didn’t completely put me off it, but the love affair ended.
I think it’s usable and I would love to see it on a little one. I would worry that their might be some teasing potential because of the rhyme, but I do also think that kids don’t tease about names as much as we on naming forums worry that they do, and even kids with completely normal names will be teased about something.
I don’t think it’s too weird to use, though.
[name_f]Coral[/name_f] is beautiful and very usable.
My sister has a friend named [name_f]Coral[/name_f], so I think it’s fine. Personally, I think like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Corliss[/name_f] and [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] more though.
[name_f]Coral[/name_f] is pretty, but a little bit hippie. As long as you don’t mind that! As others have mentioned; [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] etc are all good options as well. You could make [name_f]Coral[/name_f] a nn from any of these easily if you see that as an option.
I love the name [name_f]Coral[/name_f].
It is reminscent of [name_f]Carol[/name_f] and a short form/nickname of all the lovely names ([name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]) that were previously listed.
So I think it is sufficently usable
