Hello Berries,

My mother’s maiden name is [name]Munro[/name], and I have always planned on using this in the middle name position in future baby names.

But lately I have been wondering if you think it could be useable for a first name?
Maybe the nn’s [name]Ro[/name] or Roey?

I don’t think it’s a nice first name for a girl, regardless of the reason. As a middle, it’s fine.

I don’t like it as a fn, but it is a significant middle and [name]Ro[/name] is a cute nn!

Definitely a middle. [name]Ro[/name]/Roey is cute, but [name]Munro[/name] is really unattractive to me - both out loud and on paper.

I like it better in the mn spot. As a fn it makes me think of [name]Mariah[/name] [name]Carey[/name]'s [name]Monroe[/name] immediately. There could also be spelling confusion with [name]Munro[/name].

I really like it. I love when names have meanings or significance to the parents. Normally [name]Munro[/name] isn’t not my style, but in this case, being your maiden name, I think its very nice, and a cool connection to your family.
