Thoughts on the name [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]?
*not currently expecting, just love the name and wanted others thoughts.
I never think playground teasing about names is a real thing… never encountered this in my own life or working at camps! But i guess its possible.
I know I little girl with the name and her family pronounces it [name_m]Guy[/name_m]-ah. It is absolutely wearable on her, a spunky sweet little one with a connection to nature. Her family lives in Australia and I am in [name_f]Canada[/name_f].
I took a Classics course on Greek mythology and I think [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] is a great choice. It’s much fresher than [name_f]Maya[/name_f] or other sound alikes imo and it has great history behind it. I wouldn’t worry so much about the possible pronunciation issues or teasing. Any name has teasing potential, really.
I definitely think it’s wearable! And I love it!
It’s wearable, though it has a very strong connotation with hippie/yoga/literally [name_f]Earth[/name_f] Mother culture.
