Is this off limits?

Hello, first time posting a thread.
I’m no where near having kids, I just want some opinions on this. I really like the name [name]Haley[/name] most likely for a middle name in the future. However, as a child I had a dog named [name]Hailey[/name] (I prefer the “[name]Haley[/name]” spelling though). Is this name off limits because my family named the dog this? Again, I’d only use it as a middle name.
Thanks!

Personally, it would be off limits for me. I couldn’t do it. But the fact that it’s spelled differently makes it a little more useful.

I don’t think it’s off-limits if you are using it as a middle name, and presumably you had the dog some years ago. You rarely say a middle name on it’s own, so it’s not like your family members would call her [name]Haley[/name] and be reminded of the dog.

I personally couldn’t use it at all, but if you really want to, then I think it’s fine as long as it’s in the middle. I can see your family possibly giving you weird looks though when they hear her full name…

If it was a family dog you had while you were growing up, I think it is fine if you really love the name.

Lol, this has been asked a lot recently. I think it’s silly to discount a name you love because of a pet. It might even be a tad different if you still had the dog…but the animal isn’t even around anymore and it’s a middle name anyway - use it if you want to.
