Is this really bad?

I’ve been pretty much obsessing over [name]Koen[/name] all week and I really, really like it. However, I usually strongly dislike K names because they have such a trendy feel but this and the name [name]Keane[/name] have really caught my eye. I do have [name]Cohen[/name] as a middle name ([name]Xavier[/name] [name]Emile[/name] [name]Cohen[/name]) and I adore the combo - I am usually all for if you love a name then use it and if I loved [name]Cohen[/name] enough I would despite the arguments against the name (yes, some would call me ignorant!).

Anyway, what do you think of [name]Koen[/name]? Would you just assume its a creative spelling of [name]Cohen[/name] and not a seperate legitimate Dutch name?

Lastly, how bad (or good) is [name]Cody[/name]? Can you think of a longer names that could use the nn [name]Cody[/name]?

[name]Koen[/name] looks a bit trendy but I can understand your reluctance yo use [name]Cohen[/name]. From what I understand Jews find it very offensive so I’d be wary of using it too. I’m pretty on the fence about this one, so hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to help.
I love [name]Cody[/name]! It seems a bit nicknamey but I really like it.

I love [name]Koen[/name]. It’s far from trendy to me, and it looks very legitimate to me.

[name]One[/name] of the names I love is Kol, it’s [name]Cole[/name], but a variant. It’s from the viking ages, so it’s definitely legitimate. I plan on using it anyways, for a middle name spot.

I loved [name]Cody[/name] for a long time, but I couldn’t picture anyone over 25 with it. I’d thought of using the name Coder for it, but ultimately nixed it. I’ve heard of [name]Dakota[/name] nn [name]Cody[/name].

I too like [name]Cody[/name] once, but could never imagine a President named [name]Cody[/name]. There was no way to give it any pretentiousness. I noticed [name]Koen[/name] is derived from [name]Konrad[/name]. I think I like [name]Konrad[/name] better.

I love [name]Koen[/name]! I like [name]Cody[/name], but it is very popular here.

[name]Koen[/name], bad? Not at all. From what I understand, it’s the traditional spelling of a Dutch name. I actually like it because of it’s relation to [name]Conrad[/name], which holds a lot of meaning to me.

I actually prefer it for you–I love the spelling [name]Cohen[/name] but I have friends that it very much offends, and while I usually respect your opinions about names and such, I just can’t for the life of me understand your stance on [name]Cohen[/name], [name]Liz[/name]! lol. Maybe it’s because my life is so intertwined with so many people who have Jewish ties, and I know you don’t, but yeah, I am pretty happy to see you considering [name]Koen[/name] instead of [name]Cohen[/name].

[name]Cody[/name]… is very unappealing to me, sorry! I have a coworker named [name]Cody[/name] who is generally crass and loud… he can be very kind and a good friend, but his attitude toward others in general makes it quite unappealing to me. It’s a bit too cowboyish and dated here for me, too. The only thing I can think of it being short for is [name]Dakota[/name]. Maybe [name]Jacoby[/name] with a “D” mn? I know you used to love [name]Jacoby[/name]. Or maybe a Co- name with a “D” name, like [name]Colton[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] or [name]Conrad[/name] [name]Davis[/name] or something.

[name]Keane[/name], however… is pretty cute. I usually don’t like “K” names either, but I do quite like [name]Keane[/name]! It’s the name of a band over here, but it’s still rather cool. It also reminds me of [name]Keats[/name] which I like for its literary connection.

[name]Koen[/name]. I do automatically think [name]Cohen[/name], but I would pronounce it correctly. And after the initial spelling correction I would spell it right. If anybody asks just say it’s the Dutch version, and that should be the end of things.

I see no reason at all not to use this name in this spelling.

As for [name]Cody[/name], my neighbors white [name]Pom[/name] is named [name]Cody[/name]. And I wasn’t a fan of the name before that, but now I will always think of the dog first.

As for [name]Keane[/name], I automatically think of two things: The saying “Peachy [name]Keen[/name]!” and the band [name]Keane[/name]. I dislike it as a baby name. And I like a lot of surnames that turn into first names, just not this one.

Well, to me, [name]Koen[/name] is a seperate legitimate Dutch name, and I much prefer this to [name]Cohen[/name], which to me is the name of the Jewish priesthood. I would not use [name]Cohen[/name] unless it truly had religious significance for you, otherwise, I’d completely ditch it and you [name]Koen[/name] or [name]Keane[/name].

I prefer [name]Coen[/name] to [name]Koen[/name]. [name]Coen[/name] is a legit name, have you thought about that instead of [name]Koen[/name] with a K?? [name]Coen[/name] is supposedly not ‘potentially offensive’ like [name]Cohen[/name] may be (I also really like the name [name]Cohen[/name]). The spelling [name]Coen[/name] is used less often than [name]Koen[/name], but supposedly, same meaning. [name]Keane[/name] I like, kinda reminds me of the singer, but [name]Keane[/name]/[name]Keen[/name] is cute [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Cody[/name] I have just never liked, although [name]Conrad[/name] isn’t bad!
Best,
[name]Leslie[/name]

I sort of like the sound of the name [name]Koen[/name] but I think I would like it better with the C.

[name]Cody[/name] is my husbands name so of course I love it! I like it has a sort of western feel but it also fun and happy sort of name. And he is generally fun and happy!
