Personally I am a big mythology fan so I’d go for [name_m]Roman[/name_m] & [name_u]Troy[/name_u]!
I agree with your concerns for the other two combos; although both alternatives are nice together, they don’t match up with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] as well.
Some suggestions that might work:
[name_m]Andreas[/name_m] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_u]Henry[/name_u] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_u]Leon[/name_u] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
I like [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_u]Troy[/name_u] together. They’re both well established as people-names so the city connection takes a backseat for me. I also like [name_m]Roman[/name_m] with [name_m]Stetson[/name_m], although I don’t find [name_m]Stetson[/name_m] such a good bro name as [name_u]Troy[/name_u], I think it shares striking and strong vibes with [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] feels a little lackluster next to [name_m]Roman[/name_m].
Here are some other ideas ~
[name_m]Chester[/name_m] (a little hissy with [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] but not a deal breaker if you love it)
[name_u]Hayward[/name_u]
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Ozzy[/name_u]? Too much S to go with Nicholas)
[name_u]Orion[/name_u] (ditto)
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]
[name_m]Salvador[/name_m]
[name_u]Rex[/name_u]
[name_m]Trent[/name_m]
[name_u]Beck[/name_u]
[name_m]Dacre[/name_m]
[name_u]Blane[/name_u]
[name_u]Royal[/name_u]
[name_u]Wilder[/name_u]
[name_u]Reeve[/name_u]
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
@Alexx.garza95 Congratulations!! I love your son’s name so much! Have you considered [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u]? (to continue with the t and the shorter names you seem to like.) I think those would be sophisticated , yet adorable names for brothers. For me, [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_u]Troy[/name_u] would be a little much, but I do think they work without being too obvious. If that’s what you love, absolutely go for it! I also love [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] nn. [name_u]Sam[/name_u] for you!
Good luck on your decision, I hope this helps!
Roman and Troy do feel a bit much together for me but honestly it’s not that bad. Stetson feels very cowboy compared to Roman. Luke and Roman are probably my favorite from your list but I prefer Lucas a bit more
Roman and…
Julian
Zane (feels similar to Luke)
Ozias (gets you to Ozzy)
Gabriel
Leo
Jude (similar to Luke)
Archer
Stellan (instead of Stetson?)
Drake (feels similar to Troy to me)
Atticus
Anthony
Bennett
Luca (alternative to Luke)
Jace (short and sweet like Luke)
Vance (same ^)
Bennett
Vincent
Jonas
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_u]Troy[/name_u] do go well together and as a set feel bold! I would expect you to like Ancient [name_m]History[/name_m], but it’s a fun theme while also matching stylistically
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_m]Stetson[/name_m] have a kind of effortlessly cool vibe together
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] are nice but perhaps [name_m]Luke[/name_m] does lack a bit of punch next to [name_m]Roman[/name_m] - also, would it bother you that they’re both books in the [name_u]New[/name_u] Testament?
I think it’s a bit much I’m afraid. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] or [name_m]Victor[/name_m], Max/imillian or [name_u]Leo[/name_u] though.
I do think [name_m]Roman[/name_m] & [name_u]Troy[/name_u] is a little “on the nose”… but [name_m]Stetson[/name_m] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] just don’t feel like they fit as Roman’s brother. Let’s see if I can come up with anything…
You could just go with [name_u]Ozzy[/name_u] straight up. I do think that fits [name_m]Roman[/name_m] better than [name_m]Luke[/name_m] or [name_m]Stetson[/name_m].
roman and troy did give me a laugh, but it’s not a horrible connection, if anything it’ll be a memorable sibset
troy nicolas sounds super lovely!
luke nicolas is strong and sweet, with great meanings. i think luke and roman go just fine together, gives it a more down to earth sibset vibe.
roman and stetson… sounds like a company
some other ideas:
‘ozzy’ from nicolas? if you squint hard enough? i think you can pull ozzy from anything remotely s/z sounding, or even out of thin air for an original nickname.
roscoe
benson
(a)eneas
scott - worse than roman and troy?
whit / whitman / whittaker
beckett
[name_f]My[/name_f] suggestion would be [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]! [name_u]Luca[/name_u] (or Luka) seems more stylistically matched with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and feels to me stronger because it is more distinct than [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
Bonus: [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is the intuitive nickname so it’s sort of the best of both worlds in my mind.
I don’t think I’d do it but [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_u]Troy[/name_u] aren’t awful… not sure what you’d name a third though? A third would likely feel out of place.
[name_m]Luke[/name_m] seems much safer and I like it better anyway!
