It IS meant to be in referance to [name]Alice[/name] in Wonderland. And surprisingly, it is an actual name, it means ‘[name]Oak[/name] [name]Grove[/name]’. But WDYT of it? Is it a sole middle name name? Or can it work for both middle and first names? Also, how would you pronounce it?
[name]Chess[/name]-ire, [name]Chess[/name]-ure, Shesh-ure, Chesh-EYE-ure, so on and so forth. Im jsut wondering how other people pronounce it Thanks!
Cheshire is a UK county and is pn chesh-ear or cheh-shyr… It’s too weird for me being from UK but that may be different in the US. I understand their are people being called [name]Brighton[/name]/[name]London[/name] etc. so why not Cheshire…???
I do like the suggestion of [name]Francesca[/name].
Definitely a middle name. It’s too much for a first name. To me, it’s right on par with [name]Chanel[/name], [name]Destiny[/name], Summerly, [name]Wynter[/name], etc. but with SLIGHTLY better sound/higher class level.
I pronounce it: Cheh-shy-er. I’m from the US and I don’t think this would be that well accepted here, unless in the inner city, where kids are named things like [name]Chastity[/name] and Bryerlydynleigh.
I think it would be better suited as a middle name, but love love love the suggestion of [name]Francesca[/name] nn Cheshire! [name]Francesca[/name] is a gorgeous name and she’d have a unique nickname. :))
I like the idea of [name]Francesca[/name] (in fact I’ve thought about this before, I would call her [name]Chess[/name])
I prn. it Cheh-[name]Sher[/name] or Sheh-[name]Sher[/name]
It is middle name material, for sure!
I was looking at that name too interestingly enough. I really like it, it has personality. I would pronounce it “Chesh-ure”. But that’s just my take on it. I would use it as a first name, but it looks like I’m braver than most.
