Is this too dorky?

I have decided that I love the name [name]Jane[/name]. Let me explain why… My husbands name is [name]Jason[/name]. Mine is [name]Arianne[/name]. Our boys are [name]Nicolas[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name]. So the first letter of each of our names in order spells… [name]JANE[/name]! And I love that. It was completely unintentional. I am thinking of pitching the idea to DH when (fingers crossed) we get pregnant with a girl. I think it’s a really nice tie to the rest of us, but am wondering if it’s dorky? WDYT? My mom thinks it’s a horribly plain name. :frowning: She said “Please don’t do that to a little girl.” However, it continues to grow on me. Opinions, please!

My younger cousin’s name is [name]Jane[/name] and I absolutely love it. She has a big personality and I think the name grounds her. It’s sweet and simple but not one that any of her classmates have.

[name]Jane[/name] is adorable and I love the connection. I also like how [name]Jane[/name] sounds with [name]Nicolas[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name].

I like [name]Jane[/name] (it’s one of my middle names), and I like the nn [name]Janey[/name]

I don’t think the connection’s dorky, but if you had a fourth they might be left out?

I love [name]Jane[/name] and the connection the name has to you, your husband, and your sons. I have a friend named [name]Jane[/name] who’s a senior in high school, and she’s quirky, sweet, and artistic. [name]Jane[/name] would be so refreshing to hear on a little girl. You could always spice it up with a longer, fun, quirky middle name.

I love the name [name]Jane[/name]. The connection with your names might be slightly dorky (but who cares), but the name is gorgeous and classic. Definitely one of my favorites.

It’s also a combination of yours and your husbands names

I have come to really like the name [name]Jane[/name]. I think it is sophisticated and sweet. A baby [name]Jane[/name] would be adorable. Plus I love the meaning of the name (Gods gracious gift)

I think that is really cute! I am a fan of simple names myself so I think [name]Jane[/name] is great.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Jane[/name]! Simple, elegant, classic. The connection is sweet!

It’s also the first two letters of your husband’s name and the last two of yours

I don’t think it’s plain at all, it’s classic like your boy’s names!

I do think that the connection is a little dorky…but maybe just because a childhood friend used that naming method for a family pet. Despite all that… I love [name]Jane[/name]!!!

I adore [name]Jane[/name]! (Nickname [name]Janey[/name] is cute too!) It’s so pretty. It’s my mum’s name aswell, so will probably end up honouring her with it somehow. Great choice!

I think [name]Jane[/name] is very nice.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad [name]Jane[/name] is getting positive responses! I was just afraid that the connetion might be too obvious, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue, so far.

I love [name]Jane[/name]! It’s not plain at all. It’s sweet,classic, and adorable

I immediately thought it was because it was a combo of your husband’s name and yours- I didn’t even catch the first initials thing. I think it’s cute! And I love [name]Jane[/name]- I’d love it paired with a funky, longer middle name.

I [name]LOVE[/name] IT!
Your mom will love it too after the name is attached to a baby!

I think it is adorable!! It makes it seem like she completes your family

I like the name [name]Jane[/name]! I’ve always liked it when used as a double name: [name]Mary[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Jane[/name] [name]Avery[/name], [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Martha[/name] [name]Jane[/name], etc. Where I live in the South, the name [name]Jane[/name] is used a lot so I don’t find it “horribly plain” at all! It goes really well with [name]Nicolas[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name] too : ) Good [name]Luck[/name]!
