We have finally settled on a first name for our little boy: [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. We love the meaning.
However, we are stuck on the middle name. While settling on [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] we also discussed the name [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]. I made an offhand comment to my husband that we could name him “[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]” and then his nickname could be [name_m]Zac[/name_m]-[name_m]Zac/name_m. After laughing, we started to take it seriously. My big question to you guys–is that too much [name_m]Zac[/name_m]? Our last name is 2 syllables and starts with a P.
So do you like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] P, or do you think we may come to regret that much [name_m]Zac[/name_m] over time?
[name_m]Just[/name_m] spoke with my husband–he thinks we should spell nickname [name_m]Zak[/name_m]-[name_m]Zak[/name_m] if we go for it. Sounds spunkier to me. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to add this piece of info. Kid would likely go by [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] at school and everywhere but home.
[name_m]Zak[/name_m]-[name_m]Zak[/name_m] is pretty cute. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] does run together a bit and is hard to say. I guess it depends on how often you plan on calling him [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]. Where I’m from, people don’t use their middles much.
It sounds a bit silly to me. I would look for something else. You could still call him [name_m]Zak[/name_m]-[name_m]Zak[/name_m], which is sweet.
